I love to "thumb down" their answers and questions because they are so pathetic and repetitive (carbon copies of one another), and unsubstantial. Seeing the large number of these thumbs down, I am sure I am not the only one on this.

And u?

It was fought over difference of interpertation of repersentation, the right to expand southern institutions into western territories, the unfair tariffs leveled at the southern states(uniform but nonetheless unfair), Federal denial of nullification doctorine, the leaders of the southern states believed that central government was created to serve the states not vice-versa. Our founding fathers 80 years earlier had just fought a war of secession against the British crown, because of an overbearing allpowerfull central government. That is why they had the forsight for checks and balances, electorial collge, and concurrent powers. Raymond Hartmann.

How can we even possibly try to stop terrorists if we can't even get along? It seems like Repbulicans and Democrats fight with each other and spend more time calling each other names then trying to work togther. Terrorists want to kill us all regardless of religion, sexual orientation, or political party. Why don't people understand this?

There are many 'initiatives' out there asking people to "get out and vote," such as the Rock the Vote and Vote or Die campains. What do you think of provoking uneducated/uninformed people to vote?

Shows us that the left just don't support America. I know they are trying to maybe get the side of the terrorist point of view but, terrorist are liars that will say or do anything to favor them.

Historically we have backed many dictators who proved to be bad people, for example: The US government gave license to Ford motor company to manufacture tanks for the nazis, also trading with the third reich were dupont, chase national bank, GM, standard oil and many more. In the middle east we supported people like the Shah of Iran, who's rise to power with the help of the CIA was facilitated by the murder of anyone who opposed him. King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, where torture including amputation is common and women are still stoned in public for adultry. In other parts of the world we supported people like Idi Amin, Manuel Noriega, Ferdinand Marcos, The infamous "Papa Doc" & "Baby Doc", Samuel Doe, P.W.Botha, Chiang Kai-Shek, even Saddam Hussien the list can go alot farther than this forum will allow. The question remains: If we have and continue to support ruthless murderous dictators, how much responsibility do we carry for the worlds state of affairs?

....to include the internet? What about alerts during working hours where people are on the computers and there is no TV or radio. I was thinking in the form of some kind of pop-up or flashing in your icon bar? I would say more people are on the computer at anygiven time compared to the TV.

Liberalism is like cancer. It goes infecting healthy cells or in this case innocent civilians in believing their toxic nonsense. And the key to this cancer is the Republican party.

I get the biggest kick out of this. This is the perfect example of liberals "at work".

They learn from the best about flip flopping though. Who does more flip flops then Vietnam Vet John Kerry?

After reading the following article in USA Today, it seems very clear that Al Gore is just talking the talk...

(excerpt):
Public records reveal that as Gore lectures Americans on excessive consumption, he and his wife Tipper live in two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Nashville, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Arlington, Va. (He also has a third home in Carthage, Tenn.) For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself.

Then there is the troubling matter of his energy use. In the Washington, D.C., area, utility companies offer wind energy as an alternative to traditional energy. In Nashville, similar programs exist. Utility customers must simply pay a few extra pennies per kilowatt hour, and they can continue living their carbon-neutral lifestyles knowing that they are supporting wind energy. Plenty of businesses and institutions have signed up. Even the Bush administration is using green energy for some federal office buildings, as are thousands of area residents.

But according to public records, there is no evidence that Gore has signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences. When contacted Wednesday, Gore's office confirmed as much but said the Gores were looking into making the switch at both homes. Talk about inconvenient truths.

Individuals sometimes have better solutions than politicians. It would be interesting to hear some opinions on how that little powerless peon and his regime can reasonably, thoroughly and quickly be rooted out.
