I am going to MEPS this weekend and am going to try to get an MOS job hopefully as an air traffic controller. or any other related field. I have the college and credential that i need, however i just found out that there is an extensive physical for being in the aeronautical field. can someone possibly tell me more than that? I heard it from my recruiter and all, i just want to hear it from someone that knows more about it first hand or someone that has known someone first hand, or actually anyone that knows about it. I would also like to know about the physical, where i get the physical after MEPS and just about anything about it. please be descriptive. if you know of any links feel free to add them. are the jobs in the aeronautical field limited to this extensive physical? what else do they test for? do they test the mentality of a canditate as well as the physicality? is there anything i can do to study for those tests if there are any? and add anything else that may be of help

You get an extensive physical, especially for ATC, they dont want you cracking down. They give you all the tests that they give a normal recruit, but this one will also include some color blind tests, a basic stress test, and lots and lots of eye exams.

The physical is not that bad and its done in a day, they just look to make sure you are good to go. They need so many people now that they will take almost everyone who wants that program.

the mentality wont be tested just the stress factor ATC is a highly stressful job and most rock out in the beginning.

You cant practice for the tests because they are all physical and mental tests. Dont worry they are easy to pass, just take your time and try to answer every question as best you can.
