before the primary i would have, but i lost some respect from lieberman with the way he reacted to his loss. he should have showed some class and endorsed ned lamont and supported him rather then run against them. he should respect the primary process as well as the voters choice. it surprised me becasue i have always considered lieberman as a man with class and dignity even do i disagree with him on the war. i disagreed with him on the war, and energy bill, as well as bankruptcy bill but he has done alot of good things such as fighting for civil rights (he marched with marther luther king and was a freedom rider) and has fought for universal health care. it reminds me of lyndon b. johnson he-created the war on poverty and signed civil rights act but he supported the vietnam war and sent us to vietnam, which lost him major points in the democratic party. if not for the vietnam war lbj would probably be one of our greatest presidents. if it werent for iraq war, lieberman would have won in primary. hopefully joe will bow out gracefully and not divide the democratic party. It is important that the democrats win the mid-terms so we can have a check and balance on bushs policy's.

What would they be running as Dems, Repub, or Indep. McCain will run a Rep so Lieberman would have to run as well. Lieberman will look like a flip flopper like the repubs say. What are you Lieberman a Dem, Repub, or Indep you see what I'm getting at here. Make up you mind Lieberman that's what there opponents will say in the election. Lieberman will have to run as a Indep in the 2008 election if he does. That's his only choice now that he left the Dems.

Unless Lieberman changes parties, it won't happen (unless they do it Indy). But an Indy run will not do anything but hurt the Republican ticket. For this reason, I doubt McCain would do it. While he is one of the most moderate Republicans, he would not want to see a Hillary or Kerry type gain an advantage in a Presidential election.

I'd have voted for Bush/Lieberman in 2000. McCain is too squishy for me. I support Mr. Lieberman on his Independent run, but my guy is Mike Huckabee, Republican Governor of Arkansas. I'd like to see him run with someone like Mitt Romney, J.C. Watts, or Condi if we can get her.
Lieberman/Obama would also have been a hard ticket not to vote for, but it looks like Joe went and burned his bridge at both ends, eh?

these two are centrists and would represent the middle .
WHAT divides america is the key moral issues.
THE congress does a lot more then debate moral issues .
While we wait for these changes they are busy passing laws that effect everyone in america .
they are busy making plans to spend billions on a high way network that includes building roads in mexico to assist commerce and transportation of goods to america .
THIS may or may not concern you but when you work for a living in a manufacturing job and it goes to mexico and the new job is working for wal-mart it does those people .
BY not concerning ourselfs with all the people we disenfranchise these americans .

What two parties? Lieberman is a Republican who just won't admit it. A McCain/Lieberman ticket would be a good one though and tough to beat but it'll never happen.

I hate middle ground.
Plus who cares about those losers. The important thing is money. I am for the party with the money. You could run a bunch of Pres Chimp's Circus Monkey palls in there if the money was right.
Clinton was good for international business; but I want local business advantages. I could care less about multinational Agra Business selling beans to Africa. I want tax breaks and limited labor reform, and "W" has given me both.

McCain? That's guy isn't glued on straight. I don't trust him as far as I can hurl a fat Frenchman. He's too temperamental; likely to get us into a war because someone pointed out his thinning hair. In politico-speak he hasn't got sufficient "gravitas".

I'd vote for 'em!
They are the closest thing we have to a middle ground these days.

We have had enough Flim Flam Men already! These guys are entrenched in a corrupt system and will bring nothing new. They think small and inside the box. The box is full of crap!
THE FLIM FLAM MEN :
They make speeches about they must have taxes, and every politician knows what is being done in Alaska. Alaska Pays all their residents with earth rights and doesn’t tax their residents. This makes the politicians liars!
They make speeches to get elected and make promises about what they will do for us. They say nothing about getting every dime of lobby money to do what big biz wants that’s opposite what they promised you they would do. That makes them cheats!
They stole your grandmother’s retirement money from SS. Now you face getting nothing for your SS payments. That makes them thieves!
They tax us, but they know the foreign companies pay no taxes on the goods they sell here. The goods are sold then bought on paper in a foreign port to skate the tax laws. Thus eliminating their profit on paper to cheat the US out of the taxes they owe. This makes them backstabbers!
They take lobby money to put earmarks and pork in every law that passes their desk. Then they do photo ops, a news clips to promote themselves as doing something good for us and America. So they corkscrew us!
They make back room deals and give our tax money to foreigners who build factories with our money. Then they write laws that send our jobs overseas. This makes them dirty dealers!
Both of these guys have done everyone of the things of the things listed here. They're true artists of the craft!
So lets total all this up. They lie, cheat, steal, backstab, corkscrew, and dirty deal. HELL their Flim Flam Men! Just like in the George C. Scott movie “ The Flim Flam Man”!
They are called the “ Honorable” Senator or Representative. Hell Flim Flam Men have NO honor what so ever! They’re crooks, criminals for God’s sake!
The BBC has film of ALL of them going in and out of Abramoff’s restaurant. That’s THE place in DC to get loaded with lobby money. The BBC has been running this story, and trying to get the US media to run it too. The US media refuses to run the story.
It’s time to take America back! Get registered! VOTE! Vote for anyone that’s not a Democrat or a Republican. They have ALL the power and ALL the control. They must bear ALL the responsibility for their gross mismanagement, abysmally poor judgment, lies, cheating, thefts, back stabs, corkscrews, and dirty deals! It’s time to put THEM in the unemployment line!
