TEHRAN -- Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Mohammad-Baqer Zolqadr and his Pakistani counterpart Seyyed Kamal Shah signed a security memorandum of understanding here on Thursday.
“In the meeting, which was the sixth session of the Iran-Pakistan joint security committee, we discussed security issues on the common border,” Zolqadr told reporters.
“We reached good agreements on combating banditry, terrorism, and human, goods, and fuel smuggling on the Iran-Pakistan border,” he added.Shah said that Pakistan places great significance on the promotion of ties with Iran.
n a separate meeting with Shah on Thursday, Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Purmohammadi said cooperation between the two neighboring countries should be energized to resolve border problems..“Weakening regional security by backing terrorist groups, fomenting sectarian strife, and creating social problems is the trick of the United States and the Europeans,” he addeed"
