So are you saying that we can't do anything about pollution? Not every smoker throws the butts on the ground. I smoke. I hate it, I try to quit all the time. I do take care about smoking around people and don't smoke around kids. It really ticks me off when I see people smoking with kids in the car.
Pollution is worse though, damaging the atmosphere will do more long term damage to the entire world than second hand smoking will.

Second-hand smoke is worse because believe it or not, the main gasses in air pollution are not carcinogens. Not only that, but air polution is "diluted" by the atmosphere. It's measured in parts per million. Second-hand smoke is far more concentrated, measured in parts per hundred to parts per thousand.
The danger with air pollution is global warming, not cancer.

Is there a difference. Don't forget China and India burn more wood and coal, and put out much more pollution than all the motors in the rest of the world.

It depens on what kind of pollution you breath and what concentrations: By example San Bernardino, CA, has the equivalent as if you smoke 20 cigarettes a day... without smoking. If my grandpa that smokes 10 cigarettes a days throw on me the second hand smoke... wont be 20 cigarettes any way...

Depends how often you are around the two of them.
For me, i'd say pollution. I'm not around anyone who smokes.
Besides, smoking a cigarette just adds to the air pollution. It's all filthy smoke with dangerous chemicals and carcinogens.

There is no scientific proof that proves second hand smoke kills. I stick with pollution 100%.

Well, you are automatically breathing the air so second hand smoke is on top of that.
Even isolated, second hand smoke is worse because it is more concentrated. You're right next to the source.
