It is obvious that you don't know the importance of taxes. Now, with the conservative government we currently have, the taxes have dropped to a low. Though, without these taxes you will be forced to pay higher charges for college, hospital expenses, and even catching a ride on the bus. So, instead of paying a slightly higher tax, you end up paying an exuberant amount of money on other common things. You can see a clear example of this in Canada where you find clean roads, nice homes, and free medical care, but you are forced to pay higher taxes. Essentially, taxes help people stay up on their feet and live their daily lives.

The government of the United States of America is the people. Blaming "them" for taxes means that you only have to look in the mirror. "We the People". Stop complaining and get involved. Run for office. Join a political party.

Personally, I do not care how much we are taxed. My issue is on the spending side. Do you want to fund abortion? Studies on the effects of cattle flatulence on the ozone layer? The "Bridge to Nowhere" in Alaska? Get the spending under control.

That is the million dollar question, oh, if you get the mil they will take 38 percent of it before you ever see it. Washington will do everything it can to squeeze more money for its population. And when Washington does so, then the states follow behind. We are so taxed it is incredible. People forget about their local, city and state taxes added to their federal and most of all they forget that their SS Tax is the really high. So.....add them together, your federal, SS, state, city, and local taxes and the.....sit down and weep.

If the Democrats would stop voting against tax cuts, the Republicans could actually reduce our taxes.

just wait a few more years ... according to the rumors i heard the experts are predicting the economy is heading for deep recession in a few years and they said alot of the tax breaks we have gotten recently will be reversed probably as well as we'll probably get a few new hefty taxes ... the overall prediction was that our children will most likely have to learn to live with even less than we have.

tax you all your life, increase the tax rate as your income rises, tax anything you do with your post-tax dollars that earns money, then tax you when you're dead. i'd say they're already doing a great job...only a few more things left. tax babies when they're born, tax toilet flushes, tax anti-tax thoughts, tax idiots...no wait, that would mean taxing all of DC...

Tax is essential for any government. Reduction in rate is possible when more people pay tax honestly.
