i stole 3 thousand $'s over a 3 month period of time i came into work one morning and got arrested the detectives that spoke to me badgered me and made me confess to stealing more money than i actully did the detectives stood over while i wrote out my confession the made me write it wrong saying i did take 50 thousand instead of only 3. my court date is the 21st and i'm wondering how much time i will recieve. The 50 thousand came from past workers at my job stealing and i worked at a gas station so the money lost from drive offs. So my ex. boss adding all the missing funds and putting it on me and i was given a lawyer but they court i cant offord my own but he is the head od "derector of public offenders" so i guess he should be good i'm a single parent with 2 kids 1 20 living with me and the other 13 going on 14 in 3 months the 20 can go out on her own but the youngest one's father has a horrible past record and my brother has offord to take her but will the courts allow it?

1. so we get a pretext for an invasion of iraq?
2. so larry silverstein(owner of world trade center 1,2,&7) can take out a record 7 billion dollar insurance policy 2 months prior to 9/11and pay out everyone involved?
3. to get oil for cheap, mark up the price blaming it on the war and obtain ridiculous record profits?
4. or to scare everybody into submission so that everyone will back a war, be scared, and compromise their freedom (patriot act) so the government can keep a closer eye on you and me

4. or finally cheney's baby...a document called 'rebuilding americas defenses' which states that "we need a catastrophic even like a new pearl harbor" to justify a war in the middle east. signed by: cheney, gw bush, jeb bush, rumsfeld, wolfowitz, condoleeza rice (eerily similar to 9/11 huh)

I have an old friend over right now and we started to get into it about some girl from 2 years ago. He kicked a hole in my wall so I stabbed his arm with a kitchen knife. He flipped out and as we wrestled around I got cut too, I am HIV positive and I was so pissed I made sure to mix our blood together. After I told him I was HIV positive and did that he kicked my dog really hard and ran out of the house. I dont know where he went and I think my dog is dead because it stopped breathing. I dont want to go to jail for stabbing someone I am hoping this will just go away. Should I call police?

The US conservatives seem to have one answer agree or get out.

They claim to believe and fight for freedom but it doesn't sound like they like the practical applications thereof.

I guess freedom of the press and freedom of speech meant "only for some" - isn't that the rehtoric of the communists and the terrorists they say are "evil".

I am better off in Canada - I have lived all over Canada and of course I have heard some heated arguments over politics and not one of them ended with "if you don't agree get out".

Are Cdn's more freedom loving than the US republican party or is it that the few loud war mongering bulls of hypocrasy attact more attention than they deserve?

I see alot of comments here on how people when they live in other countries should respect the customs and learn the lanuage of the country. However when I was growing up in Germany and in Spain there was alot of American Citizens who where living in those countries for several years (meaning 3 to 20 years). Who did not even bother to learn basic German or Spanish how to even communitcate with people in those countries. They did not even bother to learn the customs of the countries. I noticed many Americans would get upset with people since they did not speak English. I find it very ironic in the posts and comments written in these posts comming from Americans. Since most American tourist do not even bother to learn the "basics" of a other country.
Also from these posts I notice alot of stereotyping of people who only want to better their lives. What would you do if you where in there situation and not able to find work in your own country or even feed your family?

this guy that was over in iraq and he got killed well they said it was from non-combat they found out he killed himself ,his brother had died a think last year in iraq and this guy that killed him self his wife filed for divorce while he was over there.i feel so bad for this guy he was probley so messed up amd alone he probley gave up or thought he had no way out what are some of yalls thoughts and has that ever happened before where someone in the war took there own life
