All Bank Robberies are Always Federal Crimes now . This has been the law since the1930s when the law was changed because the bank robbers were crossing State lines.

Anytime you walk in the bank and you announce either by saying it out loud or giving a note to a teller or other bank employee,that you're robbing the bank,it becomes federal,even if you don't get any money. One reason is that banks are covered by the FDIC(Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.) There might be other reasons but that's a major reason.

Because bank holdings are federally insured, any robbery of a bank is a federal crime. However i do think they distinguish between armed and unarmed, at least when it comes to sentencing.

the money in banks is federally insured, so taking any of it that isn't yours is a federal crime. even if the ATM just shoots out too much at you and you don't return it at the earliest opportunity.

anything with a total over $500 of theft is a federal offense. However, I think using a gun makes it federal too. Not sure.

I would just rob em for $495, and use a booger to do it.

I mean shoot you could rob anybody with a booger.
