Madison Wisconsin Plans to charge a $5 cover charge to access State Street this year for Halloween. Is it LEGAL to do this? Can the city really charge for access to a pedestrian throughfare? Can they really say that one must pay to use a public sidewalk, to gain entrence to a public street, to patronize a variety of public stores? This seems contrary to the right of Freedom of Assembly and wrong on various other levels
If you have a legal background and have any idea about the ground the city could possible be standing on I would love to hear what that might be. Otherwise I'm looking for more backing on why this might be illegal. Thanks In Advance.

If you look at my profile you will see that I am neither male nor female. Oh I look like a dude, but with my regular hormones levels (I don't take Testosterone) I'd look like a dude iin a dress too. How does this law effect those like me? Do I have to marry a man to file as married. If that wouldn't be a gay marriage nothing would. And if it's gender that we are going to base a right on shouldn't there be a chromisome test done to make sure that bug straping girlfriend of farmer john's is really about to be a wife and not a husband? If another country attaked and occupied this country then I'd pick up a rifle and become an insurgent too. Anyone would become an insurgent. You start killing the the occupying force in anyway you could. Especially after you see them murder your family and kids. Of course you would become an insurgent.

A guy i went to Dive school with had a bunch of videos on his computer he took while in Iraq. He even laughed as the guys on his tank fired a 60 calibur at a kid. thats murder. The women are called "Ninjas". They shot random people walking down the street to see what would happen to them. Thats murder. And thats what he said. the soldiers on trial now are just show to try an let the world think America actually gives a crap. I got a speeding ticket the other day, for going 90 in a 55. Heh, yea... would sound extreme normally cept the average traffic flow is 80. I was speeding though.. just the fact that the posted limit is so damn low for a freaking interstate.
So, I got pulled over by a state trooper (tennessee). First speeding ticket I've ever gotten.
I called the number on the back of the ticket today to find out the price of the ticket, but the lady said the system isn't updated for like 2 weeks. WTF. By that time I will have to pay the stupid thing, and I don't even know how much it's supposed to be.
So do any of you know of a way to figure out the price of the ticket .. like, it goes by how many mph over the limit you were going I assume. Don't know if it's more because of it being a state trooper either......
hope someone knows...

Today I was reading the newspaper and there was a photograph
of a small boy in a political demonstration in Egypt. He couldn't have been more than six. He was sitting on someone's shoulders,
dressed in camouflage,wearing a headband and holding a toy
machine gun over his head. He looked like a perfect little terrorist
in training,right up to the angry look he was giving the photographer
while the picture was being taken.
Obviously he's being indoctrinated at an early age.I can picture that boy in 20 years planting a bomb somewhere. In a part of the
world where some children are taught it's good to hate and kill people because of where they come from,is there any real hope for a lasting peace? How can that be done in a region where such hatred is nurtured in young children right up until they reach adulthood?

Look at history. If we did not have liberals, we would still be living in the dark ages. It is liberal (open to new ideas) policies that have advanced civilizations. If we always stay with the status quo, we would not have advanced to where we are today.
In America, liberals got women the right to vote, ended slavery, changed medicine for the better, set up our free press, ended child labor, created safer work places and highway safety, created environmental policies, created free schools for all. The list could go on and on.
Let's admit we are all liberal and realize the fallacy of "the good old days" was just that. A fallacy.
Life expectancy has never been longer. Crime rates have never been lower. Our middle class, while now paying a larger percentage of taxes then ever before, has never been larger.
Blaming liberals for our nations faults is our way of not taking responsibility for our own actions.
