The Democrats can nominate whoever they like, none will become president if the democrats cannot come up with platform which the average American will vote for.
Get Out of Iraq now - may play well on college campuses, LA and New York City, but it's death in the heartland.
Republicans are corrupt and Bush is a liar - again plays well in Liberal enclaves, but the American public at large is sick of the name calling, and smear campaigns.
If you are against illegal immigration you are a racist - can't begin to tell how many different ways that is death.
We have to be concerned with what the world thinks. Most Americans are just trying to get through their day and could not care less what the rest of the world thinks.
Elections are being stolen. Most Americans do not believe this. That is why there hasn't been a major outcry from the populace anytime it has been brought up.
The long and short of it is that Republicans aren't the Democrats problem, over the top Liberalism is the culprit. As long as Democrats continue to pander to the most extreme among them, they are going to continue to lose national elections. Before you go off the deep end and start calling me a clueless neocon try examining what has been happening in the country for at least the last 12 years. Democrats have been losing more and more control in Washington, and rather than address the fact that the American public is neither extreme left or right, they have continued to move further left. In order for a Democrat to win the presidency they are going to have to start appealing more to moderates, because it is the moderates who swing elections.
To the person who posted about J.F.K. I submit that if J.F.K. were alive today, and ran a presidency the way he did in the sixties he would be a Republican.

Unfortunately America is not experiencing true democracy. Vote for man A or man B. They are both operating under C.
Until the mainstreem parties are ousted and their is an overwhelming uproar to put in some independent, things will only get worse. Sure it will suck for a while, but right now the blood is boiling under the crust. And we sleep, unaware of what will rear it's ugly head. And it will be too late.
It is time for America to take back the country it loves and has fought to keep. Does the government care about their own country? What have they done for New Orleans? They are too worried about other countries.

The only rational choice is independent. The democrats are just as corrupt in every way as the republicans. Until the American people realize this, we are doomed to continue replacing one criminal for another until the eventual end of the U.S.A.
Make note: Even if the republicans are voted out and we have 4, 8, 12 years of democrat rule... MARK MY WORDS: The Democrats will prove to be just as corrupt and Repulicans will be voted in AGAIN! The cycle will continue to repeat until people choose not to support EITHER party!

I am a registered democrat and the man I voted for is already in office. The only candidate the Dems had in '04 that would have
the stones to deal with these problems was probably Lieberman, and he was ran out of town during the primary elections. I say Jeb in '08.

I'm waiting for an answer on this one too. As the person before me said in typical Dem fashion ANYONE BUT......
They have never said what the are for, only what they are against.
When they erroneously mention "peace and prosperity" during the Clinton years, they show their ignorance and blind faith in a buffon for a "leader" They forget about Bosnia, Somalia, Sudan, the bombing of the WTC (the first time and Clinton let the terrorists GO), the bombing of the USS Cole etc......
Just once, I would like to hear WHAT THEY ARE FOR!

I don't see any serious answers yet. Can't you people answer any questions.
proud college democrat - The Clinton administration's lack of response lead to the situation we are currently facing in the Middle East. Do you really think 9/11 was planned after Bush took office?

Any candidate that will actually identify with their common man.
Democrats - Barrack Obama, Russ Feingold
Republicans - Ron Paul
I think any of those three would have a big impact, too bad the powers that be would never let it happen.

Technically I can't answer this, but I'll get my 2pts. in anyway
The frontrunners will be: 1, Billary 2, sKerry 3, Al "a convenient lie" Gorski and finally 4, Howard "eehhaaawwww!" Dean.
My prediction will be.....eehhaaawwww! will drop out after after sKerry comes in third place in the primaries, leaving Gorski to battle it out with Billary the final outcome will be Billary against Condi and Condi will be our next Prez. This should finally get Streisand to move out of here.
