in the 80's Lebanon asked Syria to step in and keep the peace after the war ended , and after that Lebanon didn't have an army of it's own they relaid on Syria . It was Hezbollah's troupes that gave there lives to take the Lebanese land back from Israel that occupied it at the time and after the assassination on AL _ Harri the question of Hezbollah weapons was brought up and Hezbollah announced that if they the Lebanese government can make sure to protect south of Lebanon from Israel they are more than willing to do so because nobody want to see their children dead , but the fact is Hezbollah is the only protection Lebanon has against Israel and Lebanon won't have destroyed it own country one more time by Israel _The last time was in 1997_ just because they want to get rid of Hezbollah

As I understand, the Lebanese government's very survival depends on support from Hezbollah which in turn is supported by Syria, especially till recently when Syria decided to pull out all its forces from Lebanon. So, they ought to work together to find a solution to the present crisis. It is foolhardy for anyone to expect support of the Lebanese government to eliminate Hezbollah once and for all because Hezbollah as a group has wide-range links outside Lebanon and purportedly supported by Syria and Iran. And, in the present crisis wherein Israel is engaged in an unjust war against that group, the Hezbollah in all likelihood will be supported by all Arab and Muslim countries in the region, apart from Iran and Syria. For every Hezbollah killed in the current crisis, two more are born! So, it is easier said than done as far as eliminating them completely is concerned!

This is how the Lebanese feel... word for word from an article in Yahoo news.
"This is an example of American democracy," Dr. Raed Ghassan said. "This was my house. I hate America. I will fight America every day, every time."
They are getting destroyed by missiles from Israel, yet they blame America. The majority of them are ignorant and stand behind Hezbollah without even caring that Hezbollah started this conflict by attacking Israel first, killing 8 soldiers and kidnapping 2 more.

From all I have heard, the Lebanese DON'T want Hezbollah, they just lack the balls to get rid of them their selves. For many years, Lebanon and Israel had a peaceful relationship. Until the terrorists got involved.

The U.N. once again ignored their job. It was agreed the weapons in Lebanon were to be destroyed and none rebuilt. The U.N. had 2,000 people there that was supposed to be monitoring them but apparently Kofi didn't think it was important. Once again, the U.N. failed!
Hezbollah wants to kill all Jews AND Americans, and wipe Israel off the map. I cannot believe that we will not be next if Hezbollah is not defeated.
We are so divided the rest of the world seems to think they can just gang up on us and we go on and agree with them.

Syria and Hezbollah are distinctive sufficient which you do ought to distinguish them. the two suck, although, and that i could say that it form of feels that the Syrian government is the extra serious one among the two. So, Syria. is clever given their contemporary civil war.
