The current admintisration does not care about anything but winning a false "War on Terror" (Bush needs to understand that the middle east is a troubled nation that cannot chang so suddenly) Many conservatives are very stubborn. But this is what the American people voted for, right? We should have elected John Kerry!

Where have we not used Diplomacy? Iraq? Hell we used that for 14 years. Got us no place. North Korea? Iran? We are using diplomacy. What we have is a President that is not willing to sweep this under a rug like we have in the past. He's going to end it. I guess liberals thinks it okay for Americans to be attacked and targeted all over the world just as long as we don't hurt any-ones feelings about it. Get real. Dig a little deeper. You'll see.

The fact that the media doesn't publish the efforts of Secretary Condolessa Rice to the extent the media should. Nor does the media publish the efforts of the diplomatic corp does not take away from the fact efforts at solving the Middle East war against terror are continually underway.

The Middle East centers around the oil and how the wealth derived from oil is to be shared amongst the Kurds, Shiites and Sunni factions.

We have had, in the United States of America, a great group of brilliant men who founded this nation, in 1787, and whose point of views must never be forgotten. If the world would adopt a policy of our first amendment, we'd all be better off. Until then, we will be fighting the past in many parts of the world and people will die protecting 'god and country'.

Ridiculous.

Yes, Clinton's diplomacy in North Korea (with the help of Jimmy Carter) declaring an agreed framework for no nukes in North Korea, was very successful.

I think that BOTH sides must believe in diplomacy for it to work. The countries in the Middle East have used it as a dodge for many years.

Yeah your right. Lets all sit down and have a intelligent conversation with terrorists that want nothing more that to destroy our country, our way of life, and eventually kill every American. We can negotiate with that. Maybe talk them down to only killing half of us and making the rest slaves? Yeah, Diplomacy, the way of the future.

I'm so glad that someone like you that obviously has no concept of exactly what we are dealing with knows how to better run our country than the President.

P.S. The problems before 9\11 were of a different era. Nazi Germany and Russia wanted to conquer us. Maybe destroy our democracy but not our people. Now there are terrorists who want both and don't have a official government with which to negotiate.

Does david c know how to spell, I don't believe that he does, because he continually misspells "believe..."

How do you know about how diplomacy has gone on david c? MSNBC told you that there has been no diplomacy? Is that why david c? How do you know what has gone on behind closed doors, on telephones, and in secret? Some of your conspiracy theory pals on their conspiracy theory websites must have clued you in to the great secret - "Evil President Bush does not believe in diplomacy..."

So that makes it true david c? You are delusional david c, have some animal crackers and koolaid, then maybe it's your nap time. The day care providers are getting sick of you sneaking on to their computers and posting all this liberal whack nonsense...

I believe you have your finger in Bush's dike of State. When it comes to words, Bush is famous for his paucity. When it comes to diplomacy or use of words in communication to resolve a problem, Bush's view of words is exclusively as tools to engage, disarm, and convince the listener. In Bush's world there is no two way communication, so there in no diplomacy.
In fact, you could graph Bush's strategy of communication like this, Idea occurs, method and conclusion jumped to, threats and warnings, marching orders given, avoidance of any real human contact, never send send own flesh and bones where you could have a bomb delivered, and diplomacy accomplished.

DITTO. This 'party' seems to be more interested in a race between its own 'country-men' than having a leader that protects and defends all of US.

I agree, Diplomacy has been seriously lacking from the onset of this administration.
