What would the conservatives do? Would the government work to block free speech once their spin doctors have lost control of public opinion? What would the die-hard conservative thinkers in this country do? Would they just close their eyes, ears and hearts and refuse to accept reality?

I think this is the no. 1 problem. The party line is never challenged, and so ideas are not well thought out - potential problems are not identified. I believe that Bush is, by nature, a very vindictive man - that makes even honorable people afraid to speak up and express a view contrary to the one the President embraces.

Now that it is self evident that United States government, Israel and some of its other cronies are hell bent on destroying whatever bit of civilization was achieved post WWII including respect for international norms, What are the options available before those who still believe in humanity, coexistence and respect for human diversity?

I think patch work wont do now because they have lost their sanity completely...

When presented with evidence disproving their dearly-held beliefs, so many conservatives on this site revert to childish name-calling. A few present websites to prove their views, but many times we cannot get on those sites to investigate. And these people who are willing to back up their conservative claims often are preachy and self-rightous.

Just curious if you can only become president if you or your family are wealthy. I can think of really fine people who would make a great president. Am I misinformed?

When Alqueda in Iraq deliberately killed UN representitives in Iraq, there was rightly international condemnation of the terrorists.

When Israel deliberately attacked the UN observers (after being asked 10 times to stop the bombardment) where is the outcry?

What happened to those UN observers is morally equivalent as Israel KNEW they where there and kept attacking!

I think BOTH attacks a morally reprehensible and disgusting.
