After the atrocities of WWII America has for some reason decided to protect Israel as if it were its child. I'm not sure why but obviously the US is overprotecting it. Whenever your makes mistakes or goes overboard you shouldn't blame the OTHER kids when it's your own kid that makes the mess.
In this case, though I think the US feels unable to say anything to Israel because we kind of did the same thing with Iraq. It has now been proven that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and no WMD yet we still went in there, toppled their government and we're still there. Can you imagine the US demanding a cease fire? That would be quite hipocritical, don't you think? Israel would just bring up Iraq and how we went in there, when the UN told us not to.
Rice is there holding peace talks and that's good! Maybe Israel deserves a spankin' too!

Its all part of the Bush Method of deplomacy.Clinton would have handled things more maturedly.It is the action and inaction of this admistration that is making the USA more enemies than friends.I ask again,what is the worth of a Lebanes life that they being wasted like this.

Israel is the baby of American war pigs and bankers who took us into WWI. Their greed and bloodlust created the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler, WWII, the Holocaust, and Israel. It created the alliance with Israel.
