Why are people so quick to tell someone off? Why do people think they know all about me because I made a crack about WalMart? Seems like the lowest common denominator, on both sides, frequent Yahoo....
Does anyone want to actually talk politics, maybe get a little deeper than "the neocons vs the cowards"?

Seems to me that many Palestinians want to back to the Crusades and further to justify their actions and attitudes in the present day. Well, using that same logic what about the past owners of Israel. Who were they?

I am getting tired of getting junk mail and having to throw it out. It is a waste of time, money, and paper. I feel that if everyone had to pay the same as we do than there wouldn't be as much, if any junk mail. How do you feel about this matter?

Bush has made mistakes I will grant him that. But he is also the President of the United States of America during the some of the most turbulent times the USA has seen since Vietnam ended. He has had to handle issues that deal with national security, immigration issues, Moral issues. The values of our country have changed significantly over the last 8-10 years. The last president that had to deal with such issues was Ronald Regan, and we much more unified then. We gave more support to Bush Sr. Who went to war b/c Hussein took over another country. Bush Jr. Goes to war because some people decide to high jack planes and crash them into the WTC and the Pentagon.
So I want to know why YOU hate bush. Think really hard before you answer, because in addition to that, I want to know what you would have done differently. Please give references to back up your claims. And Please give references to support what you would have done differently.

Would staritng up some good old book burnings be appropriate now or are we still in the "fact finding" stage of the Reich development?

When I was in high school, all the cheerleaders were always talking behind the others' backs and saying so and so doesn't have enough spirit. I wasn't sure what that meant but do you think George had the right amount of spirit then? Do you think it may have been cocaine-induced?

Explain...

How can the government intervene with someones life so much? I can understand in cases when the parents are neglecting their children, such as when parents neglect to get a child's necessary prescriptions filled...for asthma, etc. But this I don't understand...it's Uncle Sam moving in and taking over....do you agree or disagree?

p.s. if you don't read the link, it's about a 16 year old with Hodgkins disease whose cancer came back, and chose an alternative method through a clinic in Mexico...and a judge ordered him to report to a hospital to continue his chemotherapy...the order was later lifted...as was the joint custody between his mother and social services....dont' know why this was in place.

Senate GOP runner Republican Mike Steele claims that Bush has been a major screw up. He claims that a large number of Bush failures will hurt his campaign if he gets support from Bush and wants to stay clear of Bush.

Now Republican congressman Ron Paul has called Bush a traitor. He claims Bush sold America out, and has been a dismal failure. Paul along with other Republicans are in favor of impeaching Bush.

With record low approval ratings (done by fox news a conservative bias news group) and republicans distancing themselves from Bush, does Bush have any real support?

A new report is out that shows the costs imposed on Texas taxpayers by illegal aliens. The report was released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). The current estimates show there are 1.5 million illegal aliens in Texas. The costs when broken down comes to a total of $725 a year per taxpaying household to cover the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens throughout the state.

The more than $4.7 billion in costs incurred by Texas taxpayers annually result from outlays in the following areas:
Education. Based on estimates of the illegal immigrant population in Texas and documented costs of K-12 schooling, Texans spend more than $4 billion annually on education for illegal immigrant children and for their U.S.-born siblings. About 11.9 percent of the K-12 public school students in Texas are children of illegal aliens.

Health Care. Taxpayer-funded medical outlays for health care provided to the state’s illegal alien population amount to about $520 million a year.

Incarceration. The uncompensated cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Texas’s state and county prisons amounts to about $150 million a year (not including local jail detention costs or related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

The fiscal costs of illegal immigration do not end with these three major cost areas. The total costs of illegal immigration to the state’s taxpayers would be considerably higher if other cost areas such as special English instruction, welfare programs used by the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens, or welfare benefits for American workers displaced by illegal alien workers were also calculated.

If you are truly patriotic...
-you do not shop at WalMart.
-you take an interest in learning about our constitution.
-you are actively involved in charity work, etc to help your fellow man.
-you work hard and spend your money wisely and don't like ungrateful people.
-you root for the underdog, you truly wish for everyone to succeed.
-you do not change your beliefs because of what is popular.
-you have serious, tangible reasons for your voting record.

It's not about having a flag on your porch...and it's not about hoping to catch your president in a lie. In all honesty, it has little to do with politics.

You have Presidential elections. Then there's Congress and Senate. How are congressmen and senators chosen? What are the powers and functions of Congress and Senate? I understand that it's a bicameral system like the British House of Commons and House of Lords. Here in NZ in 1996 we switched from a first past the post system like the American one in which one party is the Government, even if it only has a tiny majority. In our new system most governments are coalitions.

During basic training, the guys in my outfit were constantly fed beans, beans and more beans (musical fruit). then the Sargeant would take us out on patrol and train us for combat.

We would low crawl and go from tree to tree trying to sneak up on the enemy.

How the hell is a contingent of 5,000 ground troops going to sneak up on the enemy when they have just had a plate of beans?

I thought Beethovan had joined my outfit...!

Do you have a story of how ridiculous the military can be, to share with the folks on yahoo answers, to help me prove my point????
