I am making the switch from USAF to the Army. I got all the paper work ready to go up the chain of command and I got all my ASVAB scores converted to Army terms (they look a lot better the Army way). I am hoping to become a Internment/Resettlement Specialist (31E), basically a Corrections Officer. If there is anyone that is/has been in this carrer let me know what you thought of it.

Why stop at a 10 mile buffer zone.?
March right into Beirut and wipe the Hezbollah's (and take those Hamas to) and wipe them right off the face of the earth. As long as they are allowed to live. There will never be peace in the Middle East.

America dont fall for their nice "I am a good american" theatrical skit. Behind those accent affected words there is a very good chance a muslim terrorist hides... Pick them out and dont support their businesses or political plea. They are right here on Yahoo Answers trying to change their terrorist world image. Stand for your country and dont be intimidated when they call you a bigot, intolerant or an idiot. That's their strategy...they pretend they are one of us. They are not!

a charity that calls to tell me that they have not received my pledge when I never pledged it at all. This the second time this happened with the same charity. Last year they accepted my answer that I did not pledge the money. Today they called and the guy argued with me and wanted to talk to my husband to be sure he wasn't the one who pledged it.

This is probably my first really serious question. To be honest, I just don't like Republicans. The truth of the matter is I avoid them like the plague. I have my reasons based on my experience with them. No disrespect intended but I have an extra office to rent but I can't stomach sharing space with a Republican. Any problems with discrimination laws, newspaper or professional journal editorial policies?

When I look at the Middle East, I see two sides of religious fanatics fighting over a dust and calling it holy. Both sides justify their acts of wanton, sadistic murder by saying they act in the name of God. They think the other side is pure evil and refuse to negotiate. Neither seems to care if civilians die. For all of Israel's advanced technology, over 90% of the casualties out of this conflict have been civilian.

So what's wrong with moral equivalence? I really don't care who wins your war. I don't care who started it and I don't care who ends it. I don't care if Israel is erradicated and every person in it dies a screaming horrible death. I don't care if the same happens to Lebanon or the Muslim nations. Take your religious nutcasery and go peddle it somewhere else. You're all the damn terrorists to me. And I'm not anti-semetic or anti-Muslim, I'm anti religious extremist nutcases.

Sue them! In California it's legal to sue them. They don't even have to have knowledge that their employees are illegal.. In California a company CAN be sued on the basis of hiring illegals even if they have NO formal knowledge. (like the illegal used a fake i. d.) Just like it's illegal for a company to sell counterfeit merchandise EVEN if they didn't KNOW it was counterfeit... Pass this along....

In Erich Maria Remarque's "All Quiet on the Western Front", it is suggested that war is never a solution, and is simply the antithesis to humanity. However, culture in the United States and elsewhere continuously glorifies war as an avenue to freedom, glory, and honor. Does the end justify the means?

I used to criticize Fidel Castro but I think my country should consider the independence. If my island is going to be insulted, offended and mistreated by you americans that aren't pleased without anything, always point their finger at insignificant things and always think one has more benefits than the other.

Then I rather be by myself.

I loved you too much americans. I defended you to much for all these years, but now I don't know what to feel or think. I have even felt more american than my own race. Keep the Common Wealth, Be Independent. Your president decides that anyway, and one of your representatives told us to rot.

I feel............... vexed.

Viva Cuba. Viva la libertad.
