I used to criticize Fidel Castro but I think my country should consider the independence. If my island is going to be insulted, offended and mistreated by you americans that aren't pleased without anything, always point their finger at insignificant things and always think one has more benefits than the other.
Then I rather be by myself.
I loved you too much americans. I defended you to much for all these years, but now I don't know what to feel or think. I have even felt more american than my own race. Keep the Common Wealth, Be Independent. Your president decides that anyway, and one of your representatives told us to rot.
I feel............... vexed.
Viva Cuba. Viva la libertad.

Wait, don't give up on us yet. Some of us think the world of you. Which representative said something mean? We should write him a letter.

Ahhhh...THAT explains it! You are still in Cuba and are just spitting propaganda. I get it now! (It's really, you, Fidel, isn't it?) First, the schools must not be too good down there because there is no such thing as a "Hispanic race" Cuban or otherwise. Hispanic is not a race; it's an ethnicity. Second, if you enjoy living on the island under communist rule; than more power to you. At least we won't have to worry about you washing up on the beaches of Key West in a raft. As an honorary Puerto Rican (I married one), I'd have to say Viva los Puertoriquenos!

Fidel Castro sold himself out to Russia and took Cuba with him. Now that Russia can no longer pay Cuba their anemic economy needs trading partners. Now Castro will sell himself and Cuba to enemy's of the U.S.A. in Latin America, any that will have him. There are many in Cuba who hate Castro, and there are many more Cuban's in the U.S.A. who hate him even more. As far as "most honorable Hispanic race?" This is pretty childish, kinda like, "my dad could beat up your dad."

My bf is CUBAN! I've lived in Tampa, Key West, Orlando, and many other places in Florida when I was younger. Cubans are Ok, BUT
Like my BF says the ones coming over NOW are NOT like the ones who came over when he did. (8yrs) He says he can't STAND many of them BECAUSE they think the ones who assimilated are sell outs and are 'not' really Cuban.. Go figure.. The older Cuban population in Florida is nice. I love little Havana in Miami, I love Cubans, and Cuban coffee when we visit his parents. BUT the 'newer' Cuban arrivals tend to be more trouble...
Just ask any Cuban who has lived in Fl for over 20 years...
~shrugs
You're right about many P.R.s.. I used to have some friends from P.R. and it's strange how Cubans, Puerto Ricans, central and south Americans don't like Mexicans.. and Mexicans tend to not really like other 'Hispanic' people.. Like I said I used to live in Fl, and now I live in Cali... I've seen, and heard both sides... I guess it's like the whites back in the day didn't like the Irish, even though they were white too.. go figure..
