Bush has made mistakes I will grant him that. But he is also the President of the United States of America during the some of the most turbulent times the USA has seen since Vietnam ended. He has had to handle issues that deal with national security, immigration issues, Moral issues. The values of our country have changed significantly over the last 8-10 years. The last president that had to deal with such issues was Ronald Regan, and we much more unified then. We gave more support to Bush Sr. Who went to war b/c Hussein took over another country. Bush Jr. Goes to war because some people decide to high jack planes and crash them into the WTC and the Pentagon.
So I want to know why YOU hate bush. Think really hard before you answer, because in addition to that, I want to know what you would have done differently. Please give references to back up your claims. And Please give references to support what you would have done differently.

"Hate" is too strong of a word here. I feel that Bush is insufficiently decisive, for starters. When WMDs were claimed to exist in Iraq[1] as was widely believed at the time [2], Bush declared the need to invade. However, too much time was given to Iraq, such that had Iraq posessed WMD in usable quantities they had the time to ready them for use against coalition/US forces or sell/give them to terrorists. Resolution 1441 was passed in November 2002 [3]. More than four months later [4], the first forces were on the ground.

Bush supposedly supported free trade, but in practice this has not been the case. Most spectacular was his steel tariffs [5] in 2002, but perhaps also notable was his lack of leadership in the failed Doha round of the WTO [6].

I think I'll leave it at that. Referencing per your request is tiring.

Oh WOW, i'm so glad you asked.....

Let's start with the turbulent times part. This immigration issue was brought up out of nowhere. The gay marriage "issue" is another. Both were created in order to shift the focus away from real issues and problems that needed to be dealt with by the President. I don't know about you, but I like it when the President is not a guy that's trying his best, but a guy who is getting results. I like my president to fix issues, not create new ones.

Um... he created this whole Iraq thing. Afghanistan and the Taliban was the response to 911. Iraq is the main turbulence you are speaking of and it is purely Bush's creating.

Now, sometime during 2002, 2003, there were these two countries called Iraq and North Korea. We didn't like either of them. Both had a crazy *** dictator, both had an impovrished people, and the connection to terrorist activity was pretty much the same. But Iraq was accused having weapons of mass destruction. North Korea only admitted to being in the process of making them (i hope you can tell that I am a very sarcastic person). We were at an uneasy peace with Iraq. We technically haven't had a peace treaty with North Korea since the 50's.

Now here's where it gets good. Our main argument to going to war with Iraq was because of the WMD's that could be there, although nobody else thought they were there. North Korea is admitting to it, but we really don't care. So we send UN inspectors in to check it out. Time passes, Saddam is being uncooperative about the inspectors. We eventually make an ultimatum to Iraq about letting the inspectors do their work and Saddam relents, letting them in. They find no WMD's. They do find some missles with longer range than they should have (barely) and we order them to be dis-mantled. Iraq cooperates. So we change our demands. Saddam has to leave the country, because we say so. Meanwhile, North Korea is still working on it's WMD technology.

We labeled this war as a liberation and removing a crazed dictator instead of our initial ambition of pursuing security and fighting terrorism. Had we gone invested our resources into North Korea, a country we were not at peace with, we would have been achieving all of these goals.

The only thing that makes north korea and Iraq different is Oil. The greed in the name of defending America makes me sick and pisses me off.

Bush Sr was justified in going inside kwait and kick Iraq out of the country. After all you said it, Hussein invaded or took over another country. Bush Jr. invaded and took over a country which had nothing to do with 911. Tell me s/t, did they ever find any weapon of mass destruction in Iraq?
He has blatantly lied to the American People and his lies have caused the lives of many Americans. He is also destroying the Middle Class of this country, while he is making the rich richer.
Just look around you and you can see the damage Bush is doing to his people. Small businesses are closing everywhere. There is more unemployment and inflation today than 6 years ago. Gas prices also are killing the wallets of many Americans, but then doesn't Bush own a couple of oil wells?
Anyway, I don't hate Bush. He is just not worth it. After all, maybe he is doing the best that he can with the small brain that God gave to him.

I admire Bush, he will not satisfy all, no one will, if all would get together and work for the well being of our country and its safety, instead of downing some one when they know nothing else to say.
I believe Bush is trying to improve our safety, prove we will stand our ground on the issues that deal with national security, immigration issues, Moral issues and still relies on the Lord to guide him in what he is doing. Not many men have the Guts to admit even that. He is not perfect, but we all have to admit, the USA is still the safest place to lay down and have a more peaceful nights sleep.
Last one was more interested in "no sex" fun. Made a fool of the US, well at least he will go down in history. LOL
My prayers are with/for him (Bush) and the problems he has to contend with, every waking hour. Everyday I look for answer, do you know what will calm this country along with most other countries? Here is a country that needs help even getting along with each other. If we could respect our selves we would be better off.
Most of this sounds like a 13 year old, mad at "Mama" or "Daddy" cause they want a better life for you and you have a while before you grow up and realize you want the same for your own children. . . . that is if we care about others and work to help get it for them.

God Bless America !

I don't hate him... I think he's made many bad decisions... and the press is telling the truth... check up on them if you don't believe it....

I've answered so many questions like this thoughtfully, and the asker has never cared, so why should I take the time to cite everything, when every time I do that, you guys just come up with excuses with no citation what so ever?

perhaps you should look inside yourself and ask why you think the media is bias and why you support Bush... when there is MUCH MORE evidence stating that Bush has made more mistakes than the media ever has....

how many mistakes does a president have to make before you don't like him any more? Everyone that is paying attention that I know has crossed that point... Republican and Democrat...

He doesn't listen to those that are qualified to tell him what he needs to do. He thought all he needed was to open a can of whoop-*** and we would have victory in the Middle East. Their hatred of us has nothing to do with our freedoms as Bush stated in his speech prior to the war. He knows exactly why they attacked but instead chose to mislead the American people as to the reasons. Please read Bin Laden's letter as to why we were attacked. He says nothing about his hatred of our freedom. It has everything to do with our occupation in the Middle East. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. Bin Laden STILL hasn't been caught. Most of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia so why aren't we at war with them? I'll tell you why. OIL. If you remember the first time WTC was attacked during Clinton's presidency, everyone involved with that attack has been captured and is spending life in prison. The history is too complicated for me to know what I would do differently. I'm not qualified other than to have common sense. I guess I would have let the UN do their job in Iraq. Terrorism is a global issue. We were all mad and felt vulnerable when we were attacked. But you can't kill ideas. The Middle East think differently than we do in the United States and like I said earlier it's not going to be solved by opening up a can of whoop-***!! It only makes the problem worse and recruits new terrorists. If our reason for being in Iraq now is to liberate those people, that should have been the reason to begin with. I feel he would have gotten more assistance from the UN and other allies. Sure, Saddam was a horrible man but had been in power for 30 years. 9/11 was an excuse for Bush to invade Iraq As far as immigration, he is the cause the Mexicans are coming to this country in the first place when he practically gave them amnesty in 2002. That is all they needed to hear. The influx has doubled each year he has been President. Check it out with the Immigration website. Do the math. As far as the values in this country: values begin in the home. It is up to the parents to instill in their children morals and values. The outside world is always going to be an influence. Always has been. There is nothing new under the sun to quote from Proverbs. It's just more out in the open.

Hate would be the wrong word. I loathe the entire Bush administration. Their agenda included plans to invade Iraq long before the bin Laden, mostly Saudi Arabian group of Taliban-sponsored individuals flew into buildings in NYC and Washington. The Bush Group took this as an opportunity to shore up their oil interests, increase contracts for their major contributors and friends from the military supply side corporations, while simultaneously letting the American infrastructure slowly collapse as our skilled work is being outsourced primarily to China and India. The Bush Administration truly represents the interests of only a handful of Americans and that handful are large shareholders and financiers. The quality of life has declined precipitously in the U.S. with much deeper and more rapid erosion around the corner with skyrocketing debts, deskilling of our work force, and numerous other negative occurences Bush will do nothing about—most notably ecological disruption caused primarily by the burning and reliance on too many fossil fuels. Young Americans will most definitely see American influence decline in the coming decades and leaders grasping on nostalgia having nothing to do with reality to whip up patriotic fervor to combat the multitude of ills those same leaders have been instrumental in worsening. What is also unpallatable about Bush is how willing he is to send young people to die in a war fought for special interests but he is unwilling to be honest about any aspect of why we are there (Iraq), when we will get out, and how absolutely disastrous the entire policy has been. This war was to cost no more than $12 billion when started. It is now costing $1 billion per day. The debt on that expense (with interest) will weigh heavy on the average American's pocketbook for decades. While young people die, he refuses to allow images of even the boxes our young Americans are being crated up in and shipped back home in to be viewed publicly. Of course, this makes sense for a president who conducts all affairs more secretly than any president ever has and refers to the U.S. Constitution as nothing more than a scrap of paper. All while distracting people over side issues like stem cell research and gay marriage.

I'm against everything that Bush stands for and does.

- He believes in manipulating the public with propaganda in order to control the masses. Hitler believed the same yet he claims to Christian. The Christian faith believes in honesty and truth.
- He is a false Christian. He was hired by his father in 1988 to learn how to 'sound' Christian in order to win the evangelical vote.
- He knowingly lied to the American ppl in the state of the union speech about Iraq's WMDs.
- He has destroyed my country's high level of respect all around the world. Now ppl actually hate us instead of admire us.
- He has ignored my country's laws and disobeyed the constitution repeatedly.
- He has used retention to have prisoners tortured which is a war crime and violation of the Geneva convention.
- He is flat out an immoral man with an evil spirit. He believes in lies, deceit and power.

How ppl believe this man is a Christian is beyond me.

He did all of it on purpose. There is no way anyone could support his views now. Bush has had every opportunity to make the proper changes for his actions and refuses to do so.
