I'm a democrat but now that we started this blasted war, its here to stay. We can't abandon a couple million people after claiming to help them! So next time, don't stereotype! STEREOTYPES DRIVE ME INSANE! DON'T DO IT!

That's not a very accurate assumption. I'm not a democrat, and I think a lot of democrats are just as war-happy as the Repugnicans because they get paid by the corporations too.
We started this, and now we are committed to the Iraqi people to put things at least back to the level that they were before we blew everything to hell to take out our frustrations on their tin-pot dictator who WE helped put into power in the first place (I remember going to military electronics school with Saddam's forces: go figure).
We have to clean up our messes, and all my fellow military vets would probably like to say they accomplished something other than a turkey shoot and a quagmire. We do, however, need to make sure that the force levels are high enough so that rotations can be done properly and the job can get done efficiently.

Well, we should have never been over there in the first place. Lets blame the republicans for that one. And as long a religious regime is trying to become in power in a failing Iraq, one that cloaks women and treats others poorly, then yes we must stay. If we stay, then we kill more American soldiers. Do you want dead soldiers who are American brothers, fathers and sons, or do you want the satisfaction that the party that is misleading you put in a religious regime that does not stand for anything democratic? Smart question there, Limbaugh. Now turn off Fox News and read a book.

No, we should just send all of the Dumbass Warmongering Republicans who support this so called war where no WMDs were ever found and The people don't want us there. The Pin Heads that blew up the WTC were Suadi's not Iraqi, Bushie had to eat his lie that Iraq was training Al Quaeda, what lie will he and Kindasleezy Rice come up with next to perpetuate their ineptitude?

No military branch should have missed it's recruiting goals with so many slack jawed republicans rooting for war on the internet and Faux News.

The Democrats dont want to "cut and run", they just want SOME sort of plan set out for departure. So far the Republicans have been saying that "things are going well" and "we're going to win the war", but we're not seeing any improvement or any plans to bring our troops home. Nobody would suggest a "cut and run" strategy, that would be crazy. But having a plan for the future would be nice.

No, we need more men and we need to finish the job. It would be detrimental if we left now for both the Iraqi people and an already slipping President. Occupation alone will never work. These people need to be rooted out entirely and not allowed back in. Iraq needs to step it up and start truly governing themselves. The people need to be educated on a better way of life so they are not so ignorant to follow some rich dictator. It would be completely dishonorable to the dead on both sides for the troops to leave now. They have to finish the job for both the sake of the Iraqi people and our national pride. A superpower giving in to the terrorists, they cannot and should not allow it.

I agree that this question is very biased the way it is asked. I don't think anyone wants an immediate pull out, that would be bad for all involved. Right now, I want some semblance of a pull-out strategy. I would like to see some kind of UN force in place sooner rather than later (can be lead by the US).

No and I have experience in Iraq. When I came home the second time, I was wondering where that Iraq was as it was definetly not the one I saw. The news media is just plain getting it wrong.

don't look at it as cut and run, since when do Americans own Iraq.
you are there only because of oil, since when do you care if thousands die everyday and make a big F**King deal when one American dies... OH WOW 100 dead, while 50,000 dead.
Come on, there has to be some justice somewhere.

No. That would be akin to admitting defeat and the world would no longer fear us or worry about us. Because of that, we would open ourselves up to non-stop problems, 9/11's, and attacks of one sort or another. And we will have let the Iraqi people down, and the same type of systematic slaughter they had going on under Saddam's regime would continue.
