Since the price of gas is so high what do you think about fining any purchaser of an SUV or any other gas guzzling vehicle that is not being used for a occupational purpose? Just a question but im sure there will be some political know-it-alls who will have their condescending comments anyway.

Normally the law states that if you resign, your employer must pay you within 72 hours (in California). I am going to file a wage claim with the DLSE but I was curious as to what a "good faith" argument consists of?

Is this an example of a double standard policy or not? Bush and the overwhelming number of his supporters (even in the House) know that when they support war in Iraq and in Lebanon (not to be confused with the war against terrorism) they are also supporting the murder of civilian children, women, and their families. There are many who have rationalized it to the point that the mass destruction of a nation such as Lebanon can be justified in a war against terrorists. However, at the same time Americans decry and condemn aggressive acts against American civilian casualties killed by the 9/11 attacks in this same war against terrorism. Civilians are civilians. Please try to remember, the question I am asking is this: Isn't the U.S. government creating a double standard in which they arrogantly "accept" that in war ARAB civilians can be sacrificed but American CIVILIANS (not talking about the military) should not? (Can't wait for the rationalizations on this one!)

were flying across country on a small plane when the pilot comes on the loud speaker and says " We're having mechanical problems and the only way we can make it to the next airport is for 3 of you to open the door and jump, at least one of you can survive"

The four open the door and look out below. The Englishman takes a deep breath and hollers "God Save The Queen" and jumps.

The Frenchman gets really inspired and hollers "Viva La France" and he also jumps.

This really pumps up the Texan so he hollers "Remember the Alamo" and he grabs the Mexican and throws him out of the plane.

I don't usually begrudge people's beliefs. In this case, what they publicly state is damaging to the US. It is completely irrational and could embolden terrorism here. Terrorists could read this drivel and conclude that we are divided and weak. This concerns me. Terrorists are irrational too.

They are engaging in "communal reinforcement" which perpetuates and exacerbates their logical fallacies.

The conspiracies are such as 9/11 was created by Bush, Bush is erasing the borders, the elitists are going to enslave us all, illegal immigration is a plot...yada.

Disturbing. And they really antagonize the militant pro-immigrant bunch. Racism is rampant there.

Maybe if they hear enough from the "real world", it may influence their behavior so they can get some help.

Email me if you would like to participate and try to make a difference.

No wise-acre remarks please. These people need serious help.

in the bushes right by the border fence, he pulls him out and says "Sorry, you know the law, you've got to go back across the border right now."

The mexican pleads with them, "No, noooo Senior, I must stay in de USA! Pleeeze!"

The Border Patrol Agent thinks to himself, I'm going to make it hard for him and says "Ok, I'll let you stay if you can use 3 english words in a sentence".

The Mexican of course agrees.

The Border Patrol Agent tells him, "The 3 words are: Green, Pink and Yellow. Now use them in 1 sentence."

The Mexican thinks really hard for about 2 minutes, then says, "Hmmm, Ok. The phone, it went Green, Green, Green, I Pink it up and sez Yellow?"
