my son 1st time in trouble with the law, sentenced to 18yrs in Prison. DA from our town has done much worse than my son ever
thought about. Now it is comming out to the public how crocked the official are in this town. But my sons who youth is being destroyed. No one was hurt or touched in the crime. But because
of the DA being in trouble with his boss (the Attorney General) made a example out of my son. Where as he should have made an example out of ones that had priors in criminal cases, not one
with the first time in trouble with the law. I'm not saying that my son
did'nt deserve to do some time, but not 18yrs. they don't even give
a murder that much time. Please I need help, His sentencing need
to be looked at before his whole youth is gone. The DA is now in the newspaper over and over again from wrong doings on his part.
I don't think it is right that he does'nt have to face charges, any one else would. He is someone we are suppose to be able to look up too. What a joke

If he runs as an Independent, he will take away much needed votes from the Democratic candidate. What I am hearing today is that he wants to run, but the party won't nominate him. Do you think he will run as an Independent if he isn't the Dem Party's choice?

I know a lot (if not most) Americans don't actually like us Brits, but the ones that do like us seem to say so because the UK was the only main ally during the Iraq War. But the thing is, do you realise that most British people are actually against the war, and that in the days before the war millions protested on the streets of the UK?

I'm not trying to make any political comment on the validity of the war, I'm just interested in Americans' knowledge of the situation. So please, no political rants or tirades.

You wouldn't believe how bad off things were before a group of wise individuals from the distant future went back in time to fix the Bush vs Gore as well as the Bush vs. Kerry presidential elections. Both of those election may have seemed a bit skewed to you, by you need to thank whomever it is you thank when your tail is miraculously saved, because things were a whole heck of a lot worse before the scientists of the future stepped in to make a couple of minor adjustments.

What is so different between the Government and the mafia? Both use scare mongering to extort as much money from their victims as possible. Both try to justify their actions by claiming the money they take from innocents is for our protection. Both claim to have the support of the people. Both will do violence and/or imprison us if we do not pay them. Both want as much power over us as possible.

Non-Governmental business and individuals on the other hand allow us to trade with them voluntarily. They actually produce things of value they sell to us.

Whereas, Governments (like the Mafia) only steal, pocket for themselves and redistribute the wealth earned by others.

my wife disappeared in a cruise to the caribbean we just got married and were on are honeymoon we have no family close to us so no one knew we had gotten married for some reason i didn't alert anyone of her disaperance on the ship and i know nothing of her since what should i do? i'm definitly not talking to the police its already been 2 weeks and don't want to deal with them i'm thinking of let it run its course. my best friend told me what happens on a ship stays on a ship should i do that help?
