You need to get in contact with whomever it is that you pay your child support to. If it goes through the court then the court clerk can help you- if you pay through DHR then get with them. If you pay your ex directly then you are gonna have to call her.
Just becasue you are in jail does not mean that you are clear of your child support. So don't be surprised if you face charges for non payment once you get out.
Good Luck with getting it cleared up so no further charges are brought.

In our county (in Minnesota), the judge probably already knows that you are in jail. It wouldn't hurt to let someone know though. Maybe call or send a letter to your child support officer at your local social services agency, if you have one and send a nice letter to the courts.

yes I would contact them ( but your support will still be late) I have a friend who was in jail for about a year, and could not pay child support, the week he got out of a jail, he was arrested again for being late on payments.
So you need to get your attorney or someone to talk to them and work out an agreement on this.

Yes, I would contact my attorney and the judge. Being incarcerated doesn't mean you can skip paying...you'll still be responsible for the support. She can petition the courts to liquidate any assets you might have to settle this debt. If you are insolvent, she can force you to pay back fees when you are released.

Incarceration does not excuse you from child support. If you lose your job because of it, you must immediately request a reduction of child support from the court or the arrearages will continue to accumulate.
