I am very open to a second ( you read third ) party
I use to believe that the democrats where the party for the working Joe ( the person who actually built whatever you bought opposed to management that looked over these people and had the republican (fascist) party looking after them )
I no longer believe this to be true and see the party as the democratic-republicans ( a party that has been around since the beginning of this country )
These democratic-republicans are part of the same party and decide in advance who will really run in any given election.
They have the cooperate interests at heart and not the masses of working people. (Me)
Unfortunately for 'third party' [second party] candidates the democratic-republicans (fascist) control all or nearly all of the media outlets and are very good at propaganda so their message will not likely get out and if it does it will be distorted by the democrat-republicans or the candidate will somehow be discredited
The last 'third party' candidate I thought of voting for was Ross Perot. He made what seemed at the time some good points but when he chose his running mate who should have been able to hold his own (I believe he was a general) he was not.
At that point I thought it was a scam and voted for president Clinton.
It should be noted that he did receive a major portion of the vote and was said to be a spoiler for President Bush.
I believe that after that the rules where changed and someone like him would not have the same chance today as he did then (as a billionaire )

I'd consider it. There are some good people from both the democrat and republican parties. There are many more democan & repubicrat, self-serving politicans we have to wade through to find the good ones.
I'm afraid if this country had three major parties, two would come together on some common issue, gang up on the third and eliminate them. We'd be back to two bickering set of whiners.
Unfortunately, a third party candidate has to be more than just viable to make any difference. Perot had some good ideas but all he accomplished was to give us Clinton for another term.
While voting green or independant may be a nobel gesture, it's not much more than throwing away your vote. So far.

YES, I would However we would have to vote in a lot of third party congressmen, and i can't see that happening for a long time. Even though I really Love President Bush, but he is out of office in 08. I don't know enough about the third parties out there. I know I wouldn't vote for the "green peace" party, I might vote libertarian, but I want this country to be protected, and a build up of our military, and the borders totally secured.

I might support a third party candidate, but in truth rarely vote for them unless there is a serious chance of them winning.
Third party candidates (the liberal ones) often end up splitting up democrat votes and can potentially land some evil republican into office.

At one time there was a party in the South called dixiecrats, they voted for the man, not the party, I've always leaned in that direction, so yes, I'd be open to voting for a 3rd party if they offered a platform I could support and believe in.

Very open. Have done it once in the past. I think it's important to have other choices when you honestly feel the two major party candidates do not represent your beliefs.
That said, I was upset when Gore votes went to Nader two elections ago. Things might be very different now if that small percentage of votes went to Gore instead of Nader.

I'd like to because both democrats and republicans lie...Unfortunately, however, in this day and age voting for a third-party is kind of throwing your vote away.

Most countries have more than two parties. I think having to pick one of just two candidates is ridiculous. I vote for whoever I think can do the job.

I'm very open to the idea, because I don't agree with either the Republican nor the Democratic agendas. The closest I would align with would be Libertarian (with the exception of the general views on drugs and immigration).
