I am legally separated and have been travelling to put distance between my ex and myself to give him time to come to terms with our split. I recently decided to come home to my family and contacted him to test the water. He has emailed me telling me to stay away for our sakes and the sake of whoever I decide to start a new relationship with - he said if I do come back it will not be pleasant for all concerned.

I don't know if it's just me but it seems this way. Don't get me wrong..... I have no problem with people voicing their opinions on these things but I know the media has a big influence on people watching. Wouldn't it be better if ALL the facts were given instead of just opinions, so people would be educated enough to form their own opinions?

What does everyone think about this?

I just heard W's speech at the naacp, he hit at the heart of the problems and unlike demorats who treat blacks as children who will behave nicely if given things, He spoke to equals instead of inferior people, the silence from the demorats is deafing.

I have been listening to numerous liberal talk shows on air america and have noticed they hardley take calls on the air, and the few calls they take are people who agree with them. I have noticed that they don't give their phone number on the air and that they don't have an email address to respond to. In addition to this they give what i consider opinions as facts and give no studies to support their "rantings". When I listen to conservative talk shows they put people who disagree with them up first and give studies to support thier opinions. I have also noticed that on the liberal talk shows they tend to not give important facts. To give a specific example, the randi rhodes show was discussing how Bush stole the election. she did not give any studies or facts to support her opinion. perhaps this could be because there were over 20 independant studies done after the election which found no voter fraud. these were done by many independant groups including many liberal news outlets.

I thought Marines never retreat in battle. But today I observed a Marine running away from the insurgents with the look of abject fear on his face. ( Or was that a cowardly look?) The Insurgents looked like something out of the flintstone age and they ( Insurgents ) only have basic weapons but are kicking the Marines butts all over the place. Amazing.

We have some leftover embryos from in vitro procedures. We do not want to have more children. We do not want to donate these embryos to someone else. What if they were successfully implanted in another woman's uterus and the kid shows up on my doorstep twenty years from now? What if that mother abuses my genetic offspring? What if she smokes or drinks while she is pregnant and the kid comes out with horrible birth defects?

George Bush has decided that it is immoral to use them for research. So that means they must either stay in the freezer forever or we can throw them away. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Sharp rise in Baghdad violence reported By ROBERT REID, Associated News.

BAGHDAD, Bombings and shootings soared by 40 percent in the Baghdad area in the past week, the U.S. military said Thursday. An American general said extremists were preparing "an all-out assault" on the capital in a decisive battle for the future of Iraq.

Iraq's most influential Shiite cleric issued his strongest call yet for an end to Shiite-Sunni bloodletting, stating it's up to Iraq people to build their country and the best thing we can do is get rid of the worthless American Military.

U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said there had been an average of 36 attacks a day involving U.S. and Iraqi forces in and around the capital since Friday — up sharply from the daily average of 24 registered between June 14 and July 13.

"We have not witnessed the reduction in violence one would have hoped for in a perfect world due to the USA Military doing a very poor job.

It's not the Iranians fault that we have this goverment. America brought the goverment. I don't hate America or anything, but now whenever me and my friend go to school we get called "evil" by those American kids. Not all Middle Eastern people are bad, just the same way that not all Americans are good. The only reason my teacher actually cares to know my name is because I have 4.0 in Algebra, and Calculus. And not all Iranians wear scarves and belive in the ala. I'm sure most of you never even been to Iran. How would you know what it is like? Stop saying America is the best, it's not. Wake up and smell the coffee.

G W Bush at the present time is the second most, if not the most unpopular US President of all time. Hillary Clinton also confirmed this fact very recently. Outside of the USA G W is viewed as a bit of an idiot, but none the less, he is still powerful and dangerous.

I doubt G W would like to finish his term as the most unpopular US President of all time, too much for his ego to handle. However, wars are a good distraction from the truth, and also handy for detracting from economic problems.

How likely do you think it is that G W Bush will get a major war going between the US and Syria/Iran before his term is up, to help bolster his image?
