I thought Marines never retreat in battle. But today I observed a Marine running away from the insurgents with the look of abject fear on his face. ( Or was that a cowardly look?) The Insurgents looked like something out of the flintstone age and they ( Insurgents ) only have basic weapons but are kicking the Marines butts all over the place. Amazing.

Simple answer: A war based on lies, cant be won. Hell i'd be scarred sh*tless if I was over there. These poor marines have signed a contract that doesnt allows them to escape this hell. Alot of people would say your outrageous in your question, but the truth is, war isnt happy go lucky.

What happened to your loyalty to the brothers and sisters who wear the uniform? Complain about the system, whine about your career, regret any action on your part, but pass judgment on the dedication or honor of anyone on the field of battle based on a few seconds of video?
You made it out to the real world sir, and yet you show the worst of being an American by dishonoring those who still serve. How dare you negatively comment on on a split second moment in the heat of battle! That Marine was following orders and you damn well know it. No matter what his heart was feeling, he was acting as an American soldier. Run for cover to minimize troop loss and finish the mission? Hell yes. Marines don't expect another patrol to happen along to finish up a duty they started.
Neither does the Army, or the Navy, or the Air Force. And you damn well know that too.

You're something! First, how do you or CNN know that he was running away-out of fear no less? Were you there? Does CNN ever report the whole story? Neither of you know what was going on in that moment that lasted more than 30 seconds to a minute of air time. Yet you still have the audacity to call someone a coward?! He'd be an idiot if he wasn't afraid! That doesn't make him a coward. They may have been regrouping. Ever think of that? I'd just love to see you in the same situation.

I am annoyed as hell right now. Some American would write anything anti military?? Those marines are over their risking their lives every day. Many have given their life in this war. And you have the audacity to put them down. Shame on you.

US troops would never run away from taliban in fear. If CNN is showing this on TV it is fake and they should face fraud charges.
