Yes I would serve. Did in the past but I'm probably too old now. But if it got to the point where the country needed me, I'd be there. No draft necessary.

As for the current war, anyone who thinks it was for oil or money is a fool. We went to try to make a bad place better. Maybe we'll succeed, maybe we won't--it is going about what I expected when it started--wars take years. I have nothing but respect for the Americans fighting in Iraq. Whether some people believe they are helping us back here or not, what they are doing very definitely has a positive effect here in the US.

Considering the fact that WW3 would most likely use weapons that would result in the end of the world, yes. But only because I don't want to be around when those nukes go off and going to another country with a gun and relieving yourself of the bullet proof vest seems to be the easiest way to commit suicide.

Well, one must consider that I'm too cowardly to kill myself so I'd have to find someone else that's willing and then just actively participate in my own death.

holy crap, a 300 million man army?

well i think everyone living here would defend their country from an invasion... but as far as going over to other countries and fighting, i'm not sure so many would be willing... i think the volunteer army is about as big as it's going to get, and those are the real heroes that are brave enough to fight.

if i knew i was going to be drafted and it was WW3, then i would probably enlist in the air force... if it was a war like the one in Iraq, i'd probably skip town because it's not worth dying for those anti-american, anti-semetic bastards

Whats the use - its NUKE WAR the next time- no 1 will survive except those in subs - even then they will have to come up for air or to get a new food supply after 6 months or a year - As for those in a bunker- like cheyenne mountain - how much freezer and grocieris you think they have there to last that many - they will be shooting each other for survival once the bomb goes off

My Great Great Grandfather fought in the Civil War, My Uncle in WW1,My Dad fought in WW11, My Uncle in the Korean War,
My cousin fought in Viet Nam.....Women have never been drafted. No Doubt I Would Fight For The United States of America. If I was too old to fight, I could do something!

I would serve. I couldn't live my life running because I avoided fighting for my country. I would be strong, like the many who came before me. It would be an honor of sorts. Not that I would necessarily agree with the cause, but knowing that I am protecting family and friends "back home", what a wonderfull duty!

I think morally it would be the right thing to do. Also, if WW3 started, everyone has nukes nowadays. No matter where you went, you would see death and destruction. I ask why not go out like a hero, instead of being a little B&tch.

36 and already gave 6 years to the Marines. I wouldn't mind the draft myself, get some of these free loaders out of this country by letting them run to Canada. Of course Canada would probably get tired of the protest everything crowd and send them back to face life in prison, win win in my book.

It has always amazed me how some one so adamantly opposed to fighting for their country will fight tooth and nail against their country.

If it got that far, I'd enlist. For one thing, I'm coming up on the age where they won't draft anymore, and I see no reason to live comfortably while a scared stupid 18 year old with no choice in the matter dies in my place.
