why are facts to a liberal like kryptonite to superman?

I have been listening to numerous liberal talk shows on air america and have noticed they hardley take calls on the air, and the few calls they take are people who agree with them. I have noticed that they don't give their phone number on the air and that they don't have an email address to respond to. In addition to this they give what i consider opinions as facts and give no studies to support their "rantings". When I listen to conservative talk shows they put people who disagree with them up first and give studies to support thier opinions. I have also noticed that on the liberal talk shows they tend to not give important facts. To give a specific example, the randi rhodes show was discussing how Bush stole the election. she did not give any studies or facts to support her opinion. perhaps this could be because there were over 20 independant studies done after the election which found no voter fraud. these were done by many independant groups including many liberal news outlets.

if you are against a war for oil why do you drive a car? seriously though, if this was for oil profits why didn't we take over the oil feilds? Bush didn't make his money on oil, in fact he and Cheny sold all of their stock before the election. Bush made his money on buying a baseball team. In addition I don't smoke crack, I am a disabled Desert Storm veteran who has seen first hand mans inhumanity to man. there is an evil out there you cant comprehend that wants you to die because you are not a muslim.

By the way I prefer to belive the non-partisan 9/11 comission over some conspiracy theory.

My whole point seems to be ignored by liberals, or they say conservatives do it too. As I said before, Liberals don’t take calls from people who disagree were conservatives put them up first. To be specific Laura Ingram, Al Rantall, Shawn Hannity and especially Lary Elder. They all welcome debate while liberals avoid it. It is about power. They had it for a long time and they want it back in a very bad way. One problem: The world is different now...the new media exposes all of the bullshit from the main stream media and this is destroying liberals because it is exposing them for what they really are today.

The DNC has been hijacked by folks like Soros, Kucinich, Boxer, Hollywood Libs and the type that supported Howard Dean. They do not have America's best interests at heart ...they have their own best interests at heart. It is nothing but a load of socialistic crap. Wake tfu people!

Air America barely rates on Arbitron-I think the only thing keeping Air America on the air is money from people like George Soros. I am very fortunate that they do not have an affiliate near me.

And facts are not the equivalent of kryptonite to liberals. Facts are more like Stretch Armstrong-they can be twisted, stretched, and made to fit whatever point of view that liberals need.

you need to quit smoking crack. I've listen to shows on both sides of the political spectrum. Rhodes can be a pain but by an large I think she does support much of what she says with "facts". Can't comment on the stolen election thing 'cause I havent' heard her.

You can say the same for any of the other talking heads-- Rush, Savage, Hanity etc. They all use facts to suit their own purposes and many times they just rant.

Conservatives do the same thing about using facts convenient to them or simply going on gut feeling. How about abortion or sex education? No facts to support them or postion-- its all based on "moral grounds" (hey, how are those teen pregancies treating you in southern red states huh?? highest in the nation acording to recent FACTS).

I can see what you mean about liberals ignoring certain facts. But the truth is conservatives ignore facts as much as (or in my opinion far more than) liberals. But to characterize liberals like myself as being immune to facts is completely wrong. Having said that, I don't know what your question is so it's hard to answer it. That's all I have to say.
