From all accounts, Bush is a devout Christian and cares very much about all people, including black people.

His speech was about the fact that a lot of his initiatives - No Child Left Behind, School vouchers, etc - actually do more to help black people than all the heated racial rhetoric of the Dem party or the race-pimps like Jesse Jackass.

Not so sure about how much he cares for the NAACP organization, which spewed a lot of hate towards him in the past.

Here's a question. Does the NAACP care about the effects of liberalized immigration policies upon the impoverished/unemployed African-American population in the US?

The NAACP would do its constituencies justice if it focused on a severe and immediate lockdown at the southern borders so people already here, of all different colors, have a better chance at getting meaningful employment. And I'll tell you who won't help them to do that: the very party they cozy up to- the Dems.

I've often wondered why the NAACP supports the Democrats. If the Democrats had won the election of 1860, we would still have slavery in North America. They are the party of the KKK, Jim Crowe, poll taxes and literacy tests. Go figure!!

Why wouldn't he? They are still American citizens, just because their part of an organization. He still cares about them.
I believe a lot of politicians will do things or say things just to get the vote, but I also believe that Bush has higher morals and standards than some politicians and he does care for those groups people might think otherwise.

Certainly, Bush does not care about the NAACP or the people who support it. Bush is one of the most Un-American presidents in our history. If you think he cares about "Global Warming", "Strengthening the Middle Classes", "Female productive rights", "getting to the root of terrorism" or "Illegal immigration"...ect., then think once more.

President` Bush is on a mission to destroy all that our forefathers have worked for. Poor and middle class whites that keep him in power are drunk on the notion that he is a racist on their side and in their favor. His fruits will soon come to bare.

Bush is a Christian. Of course he cares about the NAACP. Open your heart to loving each other and disregard the color of skin.

He will never get the NAACP vote because blacks don't trust Chimp. He's only doing it to help the Repugnant politicians running for reelection but it won't be enough and blacks won't fall for that.

no I don't think he does, I beleive he feels as alot of americans that they are today more of a hate group that attempts to convince the black man he is a victim and needs someone ( them) to protect and save them from the evil white man.

They do not stress taking enough personal responsiblity for ones actions.

he was trying to get votes for the republicans.
