I agree with you. For once your question is lucid and thoughtful (and doesn't have the word NeoCon in it) I feel that we should be gearing up for possible (notice I said POSSIBLE action in Iran and N. Korea) I think that the Iraqi people are beginning to truly gain Independence and we can begin down-sizing our operation there and begin to prepare for war with N. Korea and Iran if they force us to it.

um for the record, Iran and N. Korea have nothing to do with Iraq, they are two completely seperate issues. Iran and North Korea are threatening because of the nuclear power they posess. Shifting to the situation in Iraq, we are only trying to quell teh resistance now.

Go look at a world map. We have > 100,000 troops in Iraq and Afghanistan + equipment. Can you think of a better position to be in to take on Iran if need be?
