Ok first of all, this is not a hate question or comment, I just want to get some answers: Why is it that many Americans (not all Americans of course), answer to people that have a problem with their country's behaviour, such as wars and greed, in an arrogant AND ignorant way such as 'i love my country and !"£$ you all' or 'we are the best'. I mean, if technically almost EVERYONE hated my country, I would sit back and think first...there must be a good reason, or even if not good, just a reason.. instead of supporting my country blindly. I am Greek by the way, living in the UK and I always talk and make comments about the negative elements of my country. P.S. I have many American friends, some of them are quite liberal and some of them are really fundamental patriots and Christians so I dont hate anyone, I just wanted to make a comment on this behaviour adopted by a large number of Americans.

Following an enquiry, Swiss Senator Dick Marty says; "US rendition flights are based on an "utterly alien" approach that breaches human rights".
Media allegations on CIA jails broke last November, when the Washington Post said the intelligence agency had been running facilities in Eastern Europe, Afghanistan and Thailand.
It said more than 100 people had been sent to facilities known as "black sites" set up following 911.
European media reports allege the CIA used several European airports for its programme of "extraordinary renditions".
Under the secretive process, US intelligence agencies send terror suspects for interrogation by security officials in other countries, where they have no legal protection or rights under American law.
Washington does not deny terror suspects have been transferred for interrogation in other countries, but rejects accusations they are being tortured.

There are so many things the G.O.P. have done to screw up this country since 2,000 it's incredible! It's like the 8 trillion dollar debt they've racked up a war created on false pretense and lies.Invasion of privacy of u.s. citizens. The gas prices that have gone up from a 1.40 cents a gal. avg. when bush took office to the still around 3.00 avg. They do their little investigations, blame something, lower it a little then raise it double the decrease!Global warming that they tried to hide, is so real. The secracy of this admin. is unethical,to say the least. So what do you think of their latest cover up of problems by bringing up an amendment on gay marriage?

Or how about chewing coca leaves like the Andeans?

Genesis 1:29-30
Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

Fundamentalist Christians say evolution, abortion, homosexualtiy, and a plethora of other things are immoral based on their fundamental reading of the Bible. Where is the fundamental reading here? Does this pasage tell us that creating and eating fruits without seeds is an abomination? LOL

Is he more worried about upsetting employers who want cheap labor and drug users that want their mexican pot, or american voters who want safer streets? Given that the first two groups have more money than the third, will we see principal over principle, here? I think they're trying to sell us a bill of goods, here, what's your take on the whole thing/what are some pros or cons that you see with permitting/prohibiting illegal aliens, be they from mexico or elsewhere, into america?

i watched some program about some guy wanting to tax obeese people with a BMI of above 30 which is clinically obeese. (this is in britain btw) i think this is a brilliant idea since fat related illnesses are causing the tax payer over £2bn a year for hospital treatment/operations and such. what do you think should happen?
