Is he more worried about upsetting employers who want cheap labor and drug users that want their mexican pot, or american voters who want safer streets? Given that the first two groups have more money than the third, will we see principal over principle, here? I think they're trying to sell us a bill of goods, here, what's your take on the whole thing/what are some pros or cons that you see with permitting/prohibiting illegal aliens, be they from mexico or elsewhere, into america?

He will cave fore sure. It's all about the Benjamins for him and his buddies, the fat cats.

I think this thing has been blown out of proportion. This country is made up of immigrants and the numbers of them becoming (and wanting to become) legal are high. And I hate to see that Mexicans have become the scapegoats just because they are the greatest in number. We do need cheap labor. Americans are selfish and spoiled. We don't want to work out in the hot sun or clean toilets for below minimum wage. These people are taking jobs we don't want. Why are we holding that against them?

Now I agree the whole sneaking into the country thing is the wrong way to go about it, but there is a proper procedure to get here and the ones that utilize that should not be chastized or turned away for it.

From early childhood, rich snobs like Bush are brainwashed that American working people are lazy, stupid, and want to get paid far more than they deserve. So all the rich hate all other white people--it's the only way they can justify the fact that they were born with money they did nothing to deserve. This won't be a free country until we abolish the right to inheritance and make the kind of people who think like Bush really does deep down inside obsolete.

Of course. That's how repukes think! Anything to make a buck screw everyone else, its their own fault.

Like letting illegals work by giving the passes is just legitimizing what big growers were already doing. Hell, when picked op by INS these companies would go back to the border to pick them up again.

Republicans have few morals and tunnel vision. Their eyes are on their pocket book!

I hope that someone tells him that those immigrants will solve our Social Security problems fast! They have lots of babies, because they are mostly Catholic, and they sure look like great workers to me! Why not tax them SS & solve our SS problems! Personally, I feel that minimum wage needs to be repealed & all Mexican & Canadian immigrants should become automatic US citizens when they obtain a job here, get married here, go to college here, or have a baby here.

He should NOT cave but he probably will cave as he can not run again he has all of his friends that want them to exploit them then there are his friends on the south of the border that want to get here to exploit their drugs and other criminal acts.

We need to send the message that we want a secure border.
We want him to put America First

are you a native american? were your ancestors immigrants or did they just spring up from a swamp in louisiana. what gives the government the right to tell anyone what to do? the only problem with "illegal" immigrants is that they would want to come to a shithole like america

Bush wants illegals so his business friends can continue to screw American workers with lower wages. I voted for him but if he were to run today, I would not ever vote for him again. He sold out his base for a few bucks.

Congress will be the key here, and they are leaning towards NO amnesty. If my congressman votes for any type of amnesty, I am campaigning for the person who runs against him.
