Okay, I have a ball python, and she's just not eating. I got her at the end of August and it's November now & she's only eaten once!!!!! And I had to hold her on my lap. Now, she just doesn't seem interested. I'm so confused & have no idea what to do. I don't want to go to the vet's quite yet, but she's so skinny that her skin is hanging. I'm scared she's gonna die. Please help me here!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I'm pet-sitting a young sulcata tortoise, and I feel bad for him because he is in too small of a space. He doesn't seem happy, and while I think he would probably be best living on a ranch somewhere, I am only pet-sitting so it is not my choice.

So, I simply have this sad tortoise in my room and nowhere else I can take him.

I notice he gets startled by noises throughout the day (cars passing, phones ringing, etc.), and it seems to me that must be very disconcerting for him. Are there any sounds I could play for him throughout the day that might make him feel more at home? Would he enjoy some sort of nature sounds CD or something? or maybe even music..? Does anyone know?

I have a heat lamp heating the snakes cage, and have had one since we got the snake. The lamp is always on, because I live in Minnesota and the snake could very well freeze to death.

However, one of my friends who had a heat lamp just had his appartment start on fire. They think the cat nocked it over, and she (the cat) didn't make it. Now I am very worried about one of my cats somehow nocking the lamp over and having my house burn down.

We have had a heat pad on the bottom of his cage, but after removing it we noticed the desk that the cage is on was black, like it got burnt, from the heat pad.

Any suggestions? I am very worried, I don't want to lose any of my animals in something as awful as a fire.

I have many types of lizards and I am running out of space in my room for their tanks. Do any of you know about a shelving unit I can purchase to hold several tanks at once? Most of my lizards live in 10-long tanks.

If not, then how do other people with many reptiles arrange their tanks in their house?

I know that getting a ball python to eat is very difficult, and that corn snakes are easier to care for...but I can't decide which I would perfer

Should I get the snake that i will most likely have trouble feeding, or the snake that is easy to care for, im just not sure if I would enjoy it as much as a ball python.

Which do you think I should get. The only store that sells balls and corns in my area feeds live mice, and I would be switching to killed food...would it be to difficult to switch a ball from live to prekilled food?

I just picked him up and handled him for about 20 minutes.
He doesn't seem to be aggressive, his behavior is normal.
His eyes are red, but hasn't turned that milky bluish color as yet.
This will be his first shed while i'm his owner.
I havn't fed him since sunday and would like to know if i should feed him now.

I know turtles can grow really big. So what size should my turtle's tank be if I don't want to have to get a new one later? I think the tank right now is about 30 gallons but its only half full of water. Is that good enough? Or will it have to be bigger later? Thanks for the help again! :)

I just got a leopard gecko 4 days ago, but he's still not eating. From the time we got him until now, the only thing he ate was one small cricket. I've tried small crickets, large crickets, mealworms, dusted crickets, undusted crickets, nothing is working. The temperature in his cage in in the upper 70's, lower 80's. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions please would be great.
