My iguana is constantly peeling, to the point where it looks uncomfortable for her. I am trying to find a lotion or baby oil that should be safe for her, but I can not find anything on the internet about it. Is there anything I could do, any suggestions or so forth? Any help would be welcomed.

The first one got too hot, where I think it could have possibly scalded him. The one I have now seems to only keep the water in the low 70's. It a green one with a constant temperature setting of 78 degrees (yeah, right!). It has a protective cover that I like...but just keeps it too cold for Wisconsin. He seems sluggish. Can anyone give me a model of a heater they love? He also seems to like to push the tube kind out of the water, which is not good, so I would prefer a safe model. Thanks for your help.

The past 2 times my Leopard gecko pooped, it was on his house. I have 2 houses for him, 1 on the warm side and 1 on the cool side. He has been pooping on the cool 1. Is this normal?

I think my turtle is pregnant, because I've seen her and my other turtle doing the mating ritual (flittering of the claws) but not the actual thing. They've done that several times before but nothing seemed to change afterwards. This time, the female stays out on the rock trying to get as close to the light as possible, and she hasn't been eating.

So, I got her some sand from the pet store and put some in another tank and moistened it. After putting her in, she was immediately overactive and keeps trying to get out towards the other tank with the male (they're beside each other). Am I doing something wrong?

Also, I know that if keeping the eggs inside her may kill her, but I don't necessarily want 20+ baby turtles. What can I do about that?

THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT.....
I WORK AT PETCO, AND A GUY CAME IN WITH HIS SON AND IS BUYING ANOTHER ANIMAL, BUT NEEDED TO GIVE HIS LEOPARD GECKO AWAY. SO INSTEAD OF LETTING HIM RELEASE IT IN HIS YARD, I BOUGHT IT FROM HIM FOR 5 DOLLARS.
COME TO FIND OUT, THE GECKO IS EXTREMELY SICK, SO OUR STORE VET GAVE ME SOME POWDER YOU MIX WITH WATER TO FEED IT. (REPTI-AID). IT WONT EAT WAX WORMS EITHER.
I DID IT FOR 2 DAYS AND IT HARDLY EATS. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ADVISE ON HOW TO FORCE FEED THE GECKO?
I DON'T WANT TO SHOVE IT DOWN ITS THROAT AND MAYBE GETTING IT DOWN HIS BREATHING TUBE. SO PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I want to buy a tortoise but I don't think I have enough money for all the things that it would need. Would I be able to provide essentials AND buy things that it would like for about £200-£250?

I have a California Kingsnake, aged about 10 months.

It is in very good health, eats well, sheds well, is tame, does all the things it is supposed to do. As a result I have had no reason to take it to the vet. I have no desire to traumatize my snake unnecessarily by taking it to the vet.

The snake has not been probed, so I don't know what sex it is.

It is now about two feet long, and its body is getting fairly fat compared to its head. Its tail tapers very quickly rather than gradually tapering.

Without advising me to get it probed, what gender would you guess it is?

1st. I want another lizard to go with one of my others(less tanks, more lizards). I have a Water dragon thats about 11/2 feet long, including his tail. I really want another one but the only place to get the they are 8-12 inches! Would my bigger one eat the smaller one? If it would how would 2 golden gecko do? The are full grown where I would buy it.

2nd. Can you keep crickets in the fridge and just get them out b4 you feed? Will they still be alive?

my mum might be getting a surprise tortoise for christmas, but we don't know how to look after them exactly...
also, we need to get a UVB light but all i can find is stuff about the bulbs, so does a UVB bulb fit into a normal lamp?
also, how long does a tortoise NEED the lamp? what kind of living thing do they need? can they live in a big glass tank or do they just roam free and we hope they don't run away? any help would be great!
if we dont have the info we won't get a tortoise it would be cruel if we did! Phantom x x x
