Star tortoises are from tropics, so they can take pretty warm temps. But they need to have access to shade or a burrow for when it gets scary hot.

Damp substrate and a fan will help cool it down at night. Are you keeping it indoors or out of doors?

Outside, they burrow and "estivate" when it gets too hot, they sort of shut down till temps get more reasonable on the surface.

I don't think your temps will kill or harm them, but they might keep them from breeding.

In one corner of the environment, a hardware store reflector clip light lamp should be positioned to provide artificial basking facilities. This should be positioned to provide a basking spot of 90 degrees F or so (32 degrees C) in that section of the habitat. The optimal ambient temperature for Star Tortoises enclosure is between 75 degrees F and 85 degrees F during the day and between 75 degrees F and 78 degrees F at night. The habitat should also be equipped with a full spectrum fluorescent light to provide for UVB. A UVB source is necessary for Vitamin D3 synthesis (needed in calcium metabolism). And if you ever run into your tortoise getting metabolic bone disease (if you ever slack off on your lighting) T-rex makes a product called "Solar Drops"...works great!

You need to do better research- night-time drops are OK for some species, but species from tropical areas, like Stars, really don't need them.
