What kind of turtle? Did you know turtles carry naturally occurring salmonella and you have to wash your hands every time you touch the turtle or anything the turtle touched? In 1970's many kids died due to this, they even passed a law that turtles smaller than 4 inches cannot be sold as kids are more likely to put them in their mouth. Turtle upkeep is expensive. I have a small aquatic turtle and so far we've spent about $400 on the necessary things for her. Her next aquarium will cost about $1000 (and these are all the cheapest things we could get). Think twice and research well what you are getting into.

I have Hamlet and Socrates. Of course you would have to figure out if you had a boy or a girl...not that the turtle would know the difference.
Yes, Freud is a good name for a turtle.

Call him Turdo. Paint racing stripes, and put a turdo sticker on his shell, so everybody knows he's fast.
Froyd is ok name for a turdle. I'd go fishing with someone named Froyd, but if we were racing, I'd put em' in the wall.

My kids had a turtle once and they named it Shelley. A friend named hers Cutter because it cut all the little plants in its tank off.
Enjoy your new pet.

Charlie, Chuck and Jamie are good names. I don't really like Froyd. Or you can translate a word you like into another language and use that.
