I have a leoperd gecko, and i feed him live crickets, that canned stuff hasnt really worked out for me in the past, the stuff went rotten fast

I had a pacific gecko and he only ate things that were alive. Even if I put a dead cricket in the cage he'd just ignore it.

some reptiles will eat only food that is moving,
i know they make dishes that vibrate that simulate the food moving so they are more likely to go after that but not sure how great it is

leopard geckos only eat things that move get meal worms super worms or crickets that's what mine eats so that can stuff they wont eat and it rots fast

Most will not. Leos need live food.
