I have already asked the question: Are there water snakes in California? A girl says that I have a Garter Snake in my spa. I looked up water snakes in California, and I DO have a Garter Snake in there. I am scared. I want to get it out, but I WILL NOT kill it. How do I get a snake out of my spa?

eats small pebbles, the fish food the long orange kind. He likes sleeping under a pillow, like we we sing to him. When we ignore him or leave to go out when we come his tank is in a mess he kicks and scratches up everything. He like to stretch out his limbs and head and float in the water. He is always trying 2 get away. Lately he has started kickin and snapping violently and nothing under the water Can he recognise his name. I heard that u can tell the male from the female by it,s length of claws how long 4 a male. Is a turtle supposed 2 behave like this thanx.

I'm considering getting either a pueblan milk snake or a corn snake, but I play the drums as a hobby in the same room as the snakes might be kept, would all that noise irritate them?
What about loud music from a stereo?

The skin looks like it's pealing but not entirely. It's on his neck and the top part of its head. I haven't fed it specifiaclly any vitamin A supplement... is this the problem? His activities during the day are really sleep and eat. He enjoys climbing up and eating the plants I place in the tank... His diet is colards, kale and calcium supplement (with phospherous and a bit of Vitamins etc.)

Does anyone know if they are an endangered species?? I have had one for about 18 years - I recently moved to Singapore from the US for business and left the turtle with my mom but I heard they are endangered and if I reported having him, they would take him away - is this true?

My brother, who is only 7, just got a big turtle thing, and I've been left to care for it. I wasn't there when he got it, so I didn't get to see where it was being kept. I know I'm supposed to put water in the tank and a place for him to get out. I only put enough water in to barely cover his shell. So..does this thing like to swim or something? I'm afraid of drowning him if I put too much water in without knowing. Oh, and how often should he be fed? We bought some feeder fish and these little turtle pellet things. I left a fish in the tank, but he hasn't eaten it yet..

Heres some background to the question: Yesterday (Friday) my brother opened the spa. It hasnt been used for years. So, he opened the spa and starts crying. I ask him what is wrong... oh by the way hes only 10... and he says, "SNAKE!" I then remember he is terrified of snakes. I walk over to the spa, and there in the water with a bunch of frogs is... a coiled snake. I started freaking out. How is there a snake in my spa. My grandma says it is probably using the pipes to get around. I go to sleep that night really freaked out. Right now, I go and open the spa. Curious little me... I look around when I see a jet hole. And there in the hole... IS THE SNAKES HEAD! My grandma is right, he is using the pipes. I called my mom and she says it is a watersnake somehow. She said to go online and see if watersnakes live in California. If they dont, HOW IN THE WORLD DID ONE GET IN MY SPA???

We have a female iguana, she is approximately a total of 11 inches long. Her body is about 3 - 3 1/2inches, the tail about 7-8 inches. Sorry she won't sit still for an accurate measurment. Anyway how can you tell the age of an iguana? I'm not sure how fast they grow but we saw some at a pet store that were labeled as being 2 yrs old and they were about 4-5 inches longer than ours.
