I am unsure of why eggshell halves would make a lizard not venture on the porch.
What's so bad about the lizard, anyways? He's eatin' the bugs.

What sort of a lizard? Why the concern about it being on your porch? And what's with the eggshells?
With a couple of oddball exceptions (the Gila Monster and Mexican Beaded Lizard, both rare residents of the far southwest US and parts of Mexico) lizards are not venomous. I suppose if you live somewhere you could have a six-foot monitor lizard hanging out on your porch, that might be an issue, but you didn't mention that. So I have to assume you mean a plain ol' lizard.
Why worry about a lizard on your porch? They're harmless, and even kind of useful. More lizards = fewer bugs. Sit quietly and you'll be able to watch the little fellow hunt.

The lizard will keep coming onto the porch if there is a spot for him to bask(a nice place to lay in the sun). And he will defiantly keep coming around if you have little bugs for him to eat. But all in all there is no reason for you to stress out about a lizard being on your porch. If you leave him alone he will leave you alone.
