I just got two new goats and they are really scared. I might get lucky to let them sniff me, but they are really nervous, how do i get them used to people?

I have someone who wnats to give my daughter a chinchilla for a b-day gift but that is the only cage i have to keep it in. It's what I had a baby ferret in. I will try to get a bigge cage as soon as poosible but not sure how long it wll take.

Because I can't afford a large tank, but I have tons of very large rodent cages that I used with my hamsters, they are very big, so, if it has the lighting and heating, can it live in one of those cages?

The people that live in the apartment above me and my roomate have several animals. Dogs, cats, who knows what else... all stuck in this tiny apartment. We found one of their cats in the heater duct even. Anyways, there are fleas all over our apartment now and I really doubt they came from myself or my roomate. What can I do about this? It shouldn't be something that WE should have to deal with. We don't have any pets, so why in the WORLD should we have fleas!!!!!??

I've recently got a pet bunny. I have had her for a week now and still cant think of a good name for her. I dont want any common bunny names like flopsy or bouncer or anything like that but it has to be a good name. Anyone got any ideas or good names? I also have not included her colour coz i dont want its name to be because of that either

During the evening hours when we are either in the back yard or we have the fans in the windows there are a number of skunks that like to walk through our yard. Is there a way to discourage this without keeping the other animals from coming into the yard? We have rabbits, deer, squirrels, and a number of other wildlife that come through our yard every evening and we enjoy watching them and spending time on the patio with them there. i am doing this for animals. not for money. not for a certificate or anyting, but today there was a homeless man with his dog and he was holding a sign saying "god bless my animal, But he needs food to survive" the dog also looked very sick. i wish i could help but there was nothing i could do i am only 12. Thats when i thought i could do somthing, donate cat food, dog food, and some like snake food and other animal foods. But i havent seen any animal shelters where i live. does any one kno any animal shelters around the jacksonville- orange park area accepting donations?

I am trying to leave my barn, because I am intimidated by my trainer and can't learn from him. So I am wanting to go to another barn were I can learn and actually talk to my trainer. I need to know how I approach him, and tell him I'm leaving without causing a huge problem. Also I have to give a 30 day notice, and those last days will be hell, any suggestions for that???? I just don't want to leave with a huge problem, cause I know I'll see him at shows, and don't want to create problems for my new trainer!!!

to care for. Pet care is extremely expensive if anything does happen in the life time of a pet. I have had my dog for 11 years. 11 fantastic fun years of enjoying him, laughing at him playing with the kids and him sleeping at my feet every night. Over the past 2 years my financial situation changed when I was put in a position to quit work and stay home with our son who needs special care. This put a two income family with two income bills, down to one income. I can no longer afford A LOT of things. My dog had to have emergency surgery at the beginning of this year and I had to borrow 2000.00 from my mom. I love my dog and I was very lucky to have someone to borrow money from, but to those of you who are judging so quickly about pet owners, ya'll need to back off a little because you might not know the whole story. Sadly, if anything happens again I might have to face putting him down, but that's the choice poor people have to make. I don't have a question, I am just talking.
