Do ferrets chew through power cords?

They certainly can. Not all do, but what I'd recommend is to watch them very carefully for a good several weeks (months, if you have young ferrets) just to watch for safety. Knock on wood, I've never had a ferret chew on power cords BUT if they were likely to do so, it would have been when they were still little. My current guys are all 3 years and older and they really don't chew on anything inappropriate at this age though they certainly got into a lot more when they were younger. My ferrets are typically out loose in the room or on the upstairs floor where they definitely could be chewing on cords if they were so inclined.

My ferrets do not go after power cords but I have heard of ones that do. Observe your ferrets...if they go after them it will be a problem, if they don't then no worry is necessary.
