We currently have carpet in the ferret playroom and considering removing it as it is hard to keep it clean and non odorous. Would like some input into appropriate floor covering that they can not hurt themselves on.

Im looking forward to getting a new Amazon baby..

however of course im not going to get a pet, then |AFTER| i bring him home, learn about him.

i want to know the different personalities of each amazon availiable... i really like how blue fronted amazons look but i heard double yellow naped are more friendly.

any information / experience / advice?


money doesnt matter neither does noise.

My dogs have had bad fleas this year. Does anyone know of really good and effective flea collars? I have tried several brands and nothing works. I have given them flea baths once a week all summer and relief bathes every other day with just shampoo. This works but is not doing much to keep the fleas off. Strangely, my cats don't have a flea problem. Just the dogs. Any flea collar suggestions would be gratly appreciated.

i already have a family dog, pond fish in my backyard plus my basement, dwarf hamster my friends cousin gave me, and a horse that lives at my dad friends farm. i love animals is there any other ideas of a pet that i can get.

My baby bunny has just started to scratch things like the wall and my leg. One time i put him in my dressing gown and he started to scratch it under his privates. What does it meen when he does all this? please tell me why he was scratching my leg!!

I once lived on a farm so I was pretty callous when animals normally passed away, but when I had to put down one of my dogs I cried and cried, and even now, almost a year later, thinking about it too much really makes me sad.

I realize they are just animals, but have you experienced real grief for one of your pets at any time?

I really want a horse. I mean really, really, really. We have 2 and a half acres. Is this enough for 2 horses and a barn? I already have a dog, a rabbit, 2 turtles, and 2 fish. i doubt he will let me get a horse, but you never know. I am in my early teens and usually he lets me get whatever i want. I mean we have the money for things and we have the money for a horse, but that is a huge responsibility. i have only rode a horse once and that was when i was 2 or 3 at the fair. if I new how to ride and showed a true deep passion for horses, do you think he'd let me get one of my own in a year or two? please help! How do i get him to let me get a pony.

I am getting rabbits(2) on thursday and i have a few last minute questions.
1) What vegtables are safe to feed rabbits?
2) Can you feed rabbits olives?
3) Can you feed rabbits carrotinnies?(The little precut corrots)
4) Does a rabbit need to be feed hay? What kind?
5) I am getting a breeding pair. Do the two rabbits need to stay seperate or can they stay together and still have teh right outcome?
6) What is the temperment of tan rabbits?

My ferret is only 10 months old but is tail hair is already whitening and I noticed today that more hair than usual falls out when I hold him. Before, no hair ever fell out... But now it's like the same amount my cats would leave on someone (it's normal for them, though, they shed; ferrets aren't supposed to). what's going on? Does he have some sort of disease?

She is my baby, a loving lap puppy. Only 8 yrs. old. Cancerous tumor with no hope. I cannot cope with ending her vital life.

This is not like me; I've always realized it is a given that my Dobes will not outlive me, but Macey is just so much a PRESENCE in our home. Never the thought in her head to be aggressive, only totally loyalty and love, unconditional. I am already lonely.

Did you go through this? Any tips I haven't already tried? I can't get the grief under control, and I don't know if I can watch her take her last breath, even though I feel as though I owe it to her for mine to be the last eyes she sees.
