I have a female pet rat names Honey and she is very shy how can I make her less shy and run around the house and look happy? She likes to be out of her cage but when you go to pet or touch her she runs and when you pick her up she trys to back up in your hand and get down like she thinks your gonna drop her how do I gain her trust and make her more playful?

My Great Dane has been dragging a foot just a bit. The vet said to be on the look out for Wobbler's. Recently he has been having fairly regular diahrea - not every day but fairly frequently.

He likes to eat a bit of the moist cat food. He still gets his 3 or 4 scoops of regular kibble. Is the cat food enough to cause watery poop or is it likely that there is something more serious? He gets his monthly heart worm/wormer so it isn't that. I've taken him off of a regular collar and put him on a body harness to be safe from futher neck injury should it be Wobbler's. Any ideas or suggestions?

I asked a question about my elderly yorkie this morning to get input and some responses to my fears and indecisiveness. There was immediate response and help available and I took him to the vet and had him put to sleep. I would never have wanted him to suffer needlessly but needed help to make my decision -- and I got it. I am very grateful for those who took the time -- even if they were mad at me!

When you go to the animal shelter can you get a 'pet' instantly or do you have to wait a few days? How long does the process last? Do you have to be 18?
