I am asking this question because so few people I personally know have any clue about the unsavory truth.

I am not trying to find flaws with any particular brands. I also am not referring to the nutrition facts.
I am wondering how many people realize that euthanized pets, road kill, and ill animals are all perfectly legal and common ingredients in most dog food brands. The dog they put to sleep at the vet, ends up as dog kibble ,flea collar and all.
I think it is so wrong. Please look this up on the internet. I am unable to post a link for you at this time.

I feed the BARF diet, not commercially availible so yes, I know exactly what my dogs get. But to answer your question on commercial dog foods: Nothing very yummy, see the link below, for details.

You are grossly misinformed. Being on the internet does not make something true.
Yes there can be gross and dangerous things in dog food. But the same is true for any food manufactured in a factory. The USDA has guidelines of how much "waste" can be in food. This can be bugs, rat hair and feces, etc. Usually it is around 2%. That means that there is rat poop in your grape jelly, cockroaches in your Coke and so on.
Dog food manufactured in other countries may contain euthanized animals and road kill, but it is a very small percent. That's why you shouldn't but food with a vauge ingredient like "other animal by-products" or "non-poultry product".

Do you really know? Are you going by the ingredients on the bag which tell a lot of the story, but not necessarily all of it?
For me, the big wake up call was this last huge recall crisis that occurred with many follow-up and unannounced continued recalls. I understand that all those recalls were "voluntary" meaning some foods may have covered up recall info. I feed my dogs Nature's Recipe Venison and Rice blend and though I am not crazy about every aspect of the food, there is much that pleases me about it.
I do like that they don't use BHA or BHT, no artificial dyes/colors, no wheat or corn products. Also their rice was not part of the recalled rice product from third world countries that were contaminated.
I don't like that they have "digest" in their food which is animal tissue, though I have been assured it is from Venison and not "mystery meat".
I feed partial raw, would feed entirely raw or home cooked but have three dogs and limited freezer/fridge space and commercial food is convenient for me.
If I had kids, I'd want to feed them healthy foods, but I would occasionally take them to McDonalds or buy them a mass produced cereal that was their favorite.
I feel the same about the dogs. I want them to eat healthy but at the same time without being too obsessive about it.
Is there anything you know about my brand that I should be concerned about? If so, I'd appreciate the feedback. ; )

If you are not a scientist with a degree in nutrition working under veterinary supervision, with over 50 years of testing and quality control (like the big companies have), then you can't know what is good or not just by what the bag says. There are few strict laws regarding what they have to tell you.
