ive have just adopted a 5 day old guinea pig

what should i do now

Can you put it back with its mother until it is at least 4 weeks old? I know baby pigs can eat solid food almost immediately, but they still need the nutrition from mom's milk for the first few weeks. If you can't get it back to the mother, you're going to need to supplement the dry food with a milk substitute. Call your vet. I think with rodents the best formula to use is puppy milk replacer- brand name ESBILAC.

It should be with its mum till about 6 weeks take it back to where you got it from if possible and leave it for a few weeks!!!

WAY to young...it will definately die if you are the only caretaker...you MUST take it back so it can be with its mother until it is at least 6 weeks old!!!
