He has only just begun working in an outline so lacks muscle on his neck, he is quite unfit, and rushes in to jumps. I want to sort it out so i have a plan of what to do each day as i only have him for 6 months and want to get him going well pronto!

Why do people buy animals when they obviously do not have a basic understanding of their basic needs? So many of these questions show that the welfare of these pets is in danger because owners do not know how to look after them.

Please please please before buying any animal make sure you know how to look after them, read books, get advice, don't just buy one because you want one! They are not toys!

But it seems like all good answers are getting several thumbs down and shitty answers ( which obvioulsy come from people who don't have much experience or have a very closed limited point of view) are getting thumbs up... does anyone agree with me?
example, someone wanted to know which saddle was best to use when training. a person answerd use what your comfortable with and it got liek 4 thumbs down. This seems like a very legit answer. tell me what you think :)

We just found out that my guinea pig, Cookie, has lice. She has not been around any other guinea pigs since November. Everything that I read says that they get lice from other guinea pigs, but it's been close to 5 months since she was around any other ones and we just found out that she had lice.

was wondering if our hammy's habitrail "playground" cage connect with a crittertrail cage--i would like to get the critter trail x or critter trail two but i'm hoping to"expand" her space but don't know if the tubes are compatable seeing that their different brands...thanks for any answers!

My guinea pig is about 4 years old and she has recently dropped a decent amount of wieght even though her feeding has been the same. and lately she has also started sheding alot. other than that she seems healthy..

his eye looks really swollen. its been like that for a while, but before it just looked dirty. but it is now swollen. there is no puss that i have notised but his poorly eye is smaller than the other cos of the swelling. he lives with his brother so if its an infection i wanna get it sorted asap incase it spreads.has anyone else had a simular problem with theirs and can anyone recomend anything i can try myself rather than takin him to a vet as its too expensive.i iobviously will do if i have to i just wanna see if i can sort the problem myself cheeply. he is 9 months old

We found this gel stuff and we don't know what it is. Last night my sister put a crayfish in the terranium but I don't think that has anything to do with this because their eggs don't look like that. The gel looks a lot like ice but has black dots inside.
