...i have a female dwarf rabbit...i have had her for a month now and when someone tries to pet her she'll run from them...and i was laying on the floor in my room...and she was beside me i petted her and she layed down......she lifted her tail up....like a dog does when they on heat...does that mean shes like that? Then she started to sniff , her nose moved faster then normal and she would just lay quick anywhere...it kinda scared me because shes never done that before...and its like she doesnt run form anyone...it all happend in like 30 minutes....im wondering what that could mean??? And what are some signs that a rabbit is in the stage of "heat",,,,any thing would help...im just really worried because shes never been like that before and its weird....thanks !! =)

Do you feel that people are more or less likely to adopt animals from shelters or from a petstore?

Are shelter animals stereotyped against? Why or why not?

I'm just curious as to what people's opinons are on this.

I accidentally forgot to feed my python two mice yesterday and they chewed through their box and escaped... I just saw one now, and he ran off.

What's the best way to catch them? I don't care if it takes lethal measures but I have to get rid of these two mice. What should I use? Mousetraps, poison? What works best?

I'm looking for some facts and personal stories about owning a ferret. My boyfriend wants a small animal and I thought a ferret would be great because their cute, friendly and a lot more affordable than a dog. What are your personal opinions about owning a ferret, the pros and cons more less. Where can I buy one to make sure it is healthy and friendly? Are they already spayed and descented when you buy them? What type of food is required, and how long do they live? I am not sure if it's a good idea or not. I am just looking for feedback from owners and experts. Thanks a lot you guys!

My roommate's cat was trying to run on our hardwood floor and all it could do was move its little legs, but, it wasn't going anywhere! It kept kicking its little legs faster and faster it was the funniest thing in the world! I couldn't stop laughing. It finally got tracktion and darted into in the bedroom. Do you think it's funny to see your pet try to run on a slippery surface?

I have started jumping low jumps with the horse I'm riding, and there is a big problem. Most of the time he lands and starts cantering on the wrong lead. I have to stop him and get him to start cantering again. This is a problem because I am going to start showing, and I might lease him.
Thanks!
