It's actually next door's rabbit, who lives in our house during the day. He's friendly and likes to sleep on my knee whilst I tell a story to my children at bed time, but always ends up by biting my clothes. He doesn't bite my clothes at any other time. Is it a sign of being relaxed and comfortable? Is he "arranging his nest"?

(I have solved this by putting a bath mat on my knee for him to sit on! But I'd like to understand what he thinks he's doing.)

My dad says I can't have a pet rat because when he kept them a long time ago as feeder rats they smelt bad and were mean.
I have done a lot of looking up and found that they are very nice pets.
What is the difference between feeder rats and pet rats?
How can I change his closed mind?
Thanks

My daughter's horse, Dale, died yesterday and she is very upset as he was her best friend. They did everything together except ice skating at the local rink as horses are not allowed entry.

Anyway, we are not very rich and my wife and I also have another three children and a dog, Sherry - (Golden Labrador).

Anyway, the dog eats a lot of dog food. Now dog food can be quite expensive and my wife had the idea of using the horse as dog food.

How do we go about it? Do we have to chop 'Dale' up ourselves? I don't think we could cope with cutting him up knowing that our daughter could be spying on us from her bedroom window. Do we get a butcher?

Please help as we could save lots of money on pedigree chum if Sherry is happy eating Dale.

Please help - If you can!

Thank you.

I have a 18mth old male pitbull. His sister is having puppies and I am just wondering if I could breed her puppies with him. I know it is wrong for humans but what about dogs.

I understand many dogs can be bought for half of a thousand dollars but I am looking for something that will cost a little less. Know what I mean? I prefer a female because that is what we own now three female dogs.

OK, I know I have asked this before but I am trying to get a ton of opinions! How do I convince my parents to let me get a rabbit? I have done reseach (6th months of it) so don't say that. I offered to help pay for part of it. I am responsible and they know it. And I don't break their rules. But they are really against having more than one pet at a time (I have a dog, 8 yrs old, Cocker spaniel) Any advice on how to convince them a dog and rabbit can get along? (My dog was trained to allow rabbits on his property also, to prevent rabbit casualties.) My dad always told me that if I got a rabbit he would eat it. I really want to adopt (I found one that I like). And I have three options on when to ask...

1. Next time I see them.
2. At the end of the week, when they are relaxed.
3. Leave a letter on their bed before I go on vacation (without them) and give them time to think.

Please give thorough answers that will really help me.

THANKS SO MUCH!!
