Yes. Make sure it is specifically for hamsters, and it works great. I have had six hamsters over the years, and the harness is still in good shape. A harness is great if you want to take your hamster with you. You can pin his harness to your shirt pocket or collar and take him just about anywhere. Before I had hamsters, I had small rats, and used to carry them in my shirt. I kept it tucked in, and the sleeves buttoned.(You must have sleeves that button). They would sit up by my neck and crawl out when I sat down, and they would sleep in my sleeves. (I was much younger then.) Even if you have a small carrier/cage for him, keep the harness on, just in case, because its easier to catch him if he gets out. You can even attach the harness to the carrier, to be extra cautious. my ferret is able to get out of hers, so i don't think you'll have much luck with a hamster harness. i've never even see one.

hamters are pocket pets :)

They have them for ferrets something similar to that might work
