But it seems like all good answers are getting several thumbs down and shitty answers ( which obvioulsy come from people who don't have much experience or have a very closed limited point of view) are getting thumbs up... does anyone agree with me?
example, someone wanted to know which saddle was best to use when training. a person answerd use what your comfortable with and it got liek 4 thumbs down. This seems like a very legit answer. tell me what you think :)

ok I should have been more specific. the question was english or western saddle better. of coarse the saddle has to fit the horse! but if you've never ridden english before and people are telling you it better to train in an english saddle because its easier onthe horse that doesn't make much sens does it?

Maybe you are a little more inexperienced than the people that are giving thumbs down, someone may give a lengthy, essay answer with big words that SOUNDS right but that doesnt mean its correct-- OR sometimes they get thumbs down because they arent good enough or detailed at all and simply dont help out the asker that much... what ever you are comfortable in is pretty broad and leaves a lot of room for more questions... that could be a reason it got so many thumbs down.

I actually think your wrong! I haven't looked at the ratings so can't comment on that but looking at your example....

It's not just about your comfort, what about the comfort of the horse???? A saddle should fit a horse like your favourite pair of jeans, you want to wear all the time because they are so comfortable!!!! Every horse is a different shape and with saddles it's certainly NOT one size fits all.

Even in training you can get a very cheap saddle that FITS the horse, afterall you will probaly need to change the saddle a few times as the horse grows and changes shape, not mention having the saddle checked annually in case of the need to refit.
