you'll have to take him to the vet if the infection has progressed that far there is nothing you can do at home. if he doesn't go to the vet he may end up losing his sight in that eye or maybe even lose the eye all together.

You'll probably need to take him to the vet. That sucks since he's just a little guy(my kids each have a rat). Vets don't charge by size though. Maybe you could call them to see if you could try some human over the counter eye drops of some sort first. I used neosporin on one of my rat's cuts before. Wouldn't suggest it for the eye though.

there could be something in it, if it is weepy hopefully it will flush its self out. it also could be aan ulser which will be very painfull. u will need drops to help him with that. i dont expect it is an infection if no puss but it may develop into one if u leave it. if its been sore for lomger than a few days i suggest u take him to the vet. its not goin to clear up by its self.

i would take him to vets i know it costs a fortune but they r worth every penny in the long run, also i would split them up i had 2 brothers in the same cage for about 1 half yrs and they started fighting in the end the most dominant one killed the other was gutted

He really should be taken to the vet. That way you'll know exactly what is wrong with him and won't make it any worse by home-medicating him.
